Opinions on this ar... Looks great for the money. Looking for a flat top carbine, under 1000 and unfortunetly has to be nj legal so my options are not that great, but this model 3 looks perfect to add an optic and possible rails.

IN MY OPINION It is Good to go.

I also don't domicile in Jersey, so I wouldn't be able to comment on legality or make appropriate recommendations thereto.

I own one and wouldn't trade for anything. With that being said some of the mods I did to it was to put in a "H" buffer and extractor upgrade. When I was breaking it in very rarely it was not pull as fired case out of the chamber but after the mods no more trouble.

I think Stag is excellent and as such I own one. I felt it was a better buy compared to most since I did my own "upgrades". I don't know if they were necessary but a little bit of cheap insurance never hurts. Really I think Stag is a best buy.

FWIW, I put in a H-buffer, BCM extractor spring upgrade, staked the gas key better and staked the castle nut.

After working with one a couple months back, it impressed me (a Colt man) enough to buy it.

I just picked up a model 2 a few months ago ,very happy with it. I want to add a h buffer. Mine came with the black extractor, castle nut and gas key looked properly staked.
