Have a Green Mountain Running BoarTarget barrel on it with a Jard trigger in a Houge OM stock that I pressure bedded. Never thought that much about it as I was getting 1" groups at 50 yards with SK HV target. Tried Lapua Midas+ on a whim and presto...one hole groups. Didn't think that it would be capable of such accuracy. I now need a better scope as I feel it might do better. I really would like something in the 12x-14x top end with AO down to 10 yards with target knobs but I can't find any *quality* glass with these features. Should I just get one with the AO down to 50 yards or am I missing something?

Im put a Weaver 44/40 on a Kimber 82G. I goes from 6.5 to 20 X in power and had a AO where the first marking is 25 yds but can be turned down from that distance. I generally use 9 to 13 power for most of my shooting at 50 yds. I'm fairly well satisfied with the Weaver. Not the most expensive glass in the world but far better than the Chinese stuff. You might want to seek out some info on airgun scopes. I understand that there is some fine and pricey glass for these guns but I've never had a interest in that area of the shooting sports.

Thats too much magnification for me. I see Swift makes a 4.5-14x44mm that has everything I want, if a little big, but I don't have any experience with them. I'm sure it is made/assembled over seas but a (very) few of the asian imports can be pretty good.

I have a similar 10/22 and I use a Mueller 4x14-40 APV AO down to 15 but the clarity edge to edge is better then my Nikon Monarch, I believe from my experience the Mueller APV is one of the best 10//22 scopes going for hunting and 100 yard target shooting, I paid $129.

Made in Japan I believe.
Had one not a bad scope, good warranty:)

I have a Bushnell Elite 3200 5X15X50 AO on my 10/22 (Magnum Research, not Ruger). It is drilling 1 hole groups at 50 yds w/ a heavy Kidd barrel & VQ Trigger Group. The Elites series is made in Japan, and is every bit as high quality as my Leupold scopes, if not a bit brighter. I am VERY impressed with it.

Check out Mueller APV 4.5-14x AO. It should be what you are looking for without extreme cost.

I'm running a Vortex PST 6-24X50 on my 10/22. It's good for shooting at pretty small stuff out to the range that you can use a .22 for. I like it because it has a good bit of internal adjustment, just in case you want to try to really reach out with a rimfire.

Well I took a different route and wen't with a little more magnification than I wanted to but bought a Swift 6-24x50. It wasn't too expensive at just over $300 and most people that leave reviews seemed to like them. If the power is too much I can switch it to another gun for rimfire silhouette. I heard that the clarity is awfully good for a scope at that price (Schott glass/prisims?) If it's any good I'll think about one in the 3-12x range. While I would enjoy have a Zeiss scope, it is a little out of my target price range at the time.

About your Groups... DATZA NICE....!

Man I AM JEALOUS... I spent a poop load of money trying to get a 10/22 to shoot.... guess I need to broaden my 22lr ammo inventory till I get one that will print..

The glass is not so much the issue... there are many good choices for optics... big deal is just to lock it down good with a quality set of mounts and rings...
