Been the same for years; G32 EDC around home, G29 vacationing out west, PM45 for winter & all PRNJ or P9 for summer during regular (low profile) work travel CONUS and...whatever I might be issued OCONUS :D

Lately though, as nostalgia takes hold ;), it's been one of my custom BHPs EDC :D

Not quite 60 yet (I turn 57 tomorrow) but close enough to feel it. I carry my SP101 .357 60% and a LCP in the pocket the rest of the time.

Plateshooter, How do you like the M&P 9c ?

Also , how easy is it to rack the slide? Been thinking about gettinng one.

My dad is deep into his 70s and has a concealed carry permit. He's supposed to carry CONCEALED, but he open carries a full sized bright stainless 1911 45ACP in the kind of holster that is just barely a holster...ie it is just a band of leather that goes around the trigger and part of the slide. He carries it every single day everywhere he goes even in places he shouldn't carry. I guess people let him be just because of his advanced age.

I should have said - DEPENDS! :neener:

Yes, Thunderdepends when it hits the fan. For the ultimate concealment.

Sorry, I should know better. I'm bad.

Glenn

PS - for those of you who took a class from Ayoob, remember his three principles for old male gun fighters. I won't repeat them here. :D

Since the first time I handled a 1911 that has always been my tool of choice. At 63 and cancer survivor, two heart attacks I now swap between a Para Ord. GI expert 45 and a Bersa Thunder380. The 45 is carried in shoulder holster under jacket or even a vest, the 380 fits anywhere you want it to be.

I qualify for SUper Senior staus. I carried a Glock-36 for several years abut could not conceal it relaibly at all times. I finally opted for a Kahr PM-9. I still have the Glock-36 either in the car or at home.

Not very smart, I'm afraid. Elderly people don't get passes for violating the law in these parts. If he was my father, I'd do everything I could to dissuade him from toting a piece in places "he shouldn't carry". Of course, if he's anything like my father, the task of getting him to change his ways would be monumentally difficult. :( But I'd still try...

I have 3 months to go, but I don't plan on changing any time soon.

Sig 232, 239, 229, 226, 245, 220.
Kahr K9, MK9, P380
S&W 642
Seecamp LWS 32

I'm 63 and a few months. Summer time in Phoenix I carry a Taurus PT 709 in a Tommy Theis IWB or a S&W Bodyguard 38 Spl.

In the winter time I carry my 9X19 Cougar or my old LLama Omni in .45.

I'm 61 and carried a Diamondback .38 for many years. I've carried a S&W 4553 tsw in .45 acp for the last 10 years. It wouldn't bother me to go back to the revolver.

Mark

Summer - Springer EMP 9mm
Winter - Springer Ultra Compact 45
Sometimes - Browning Hi-Power 9mm

Retired LEO, 68. "Always" gun is a 442. Next step up from that is to add a Ruger Security Six that I started carrying for work in 1981 and still trust implicitly. I don't switch around my social guns.

When off in the sagebrush it's those or a 1911, a GP-100, one of a variety of K frame Smiths, a BHP, or a centerfire Ruger SA.

Even though it's taking a chance, I keep a loaded Model 10 and an SKS in the car. I don't like even the idea of getting caught short. My motto is "never say never".

I'm still a few months away from "Over 60". I carry a Rohrbaugh 9mm.

I still have a number of other carry guns sitting around, although I seldom carry them: 649, 442, BHP, CZ-75B, and some full-sized Colts and Kimbers.

One of these days I'll figure out how to carry an FNP-45 USG along with 2 extra 15-rd. mags while wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

Well, I'm only 54.5 but -

Jonah71, are you the OTHER me???

I'm in Columbia MO and don't really do a lot of big-city stuff anymore either (unless I HAVE to) and I ALSO keep my ONE good eye open and travel a bit slower with a limp (orthotics/both feet) .....

I carry a .45 Colt Defender most the time with either a KelTec380 or a .38 Ultra-Lite close by....

...Being slower and half blind, someone may mistakenly consider me an easier target - but that'll be a costly mistake....
It tends to make me a bit overly cautious maybe. I do carry when I come to the big city of Columbia, Mo. every 6 mo. to take my Pastor to his Opthamologist. Glock 23 or 26 with an OWB/ B.H.Serpa with a pull over shirt and the mod 36 in my pocket. We usually stop at the Olive Garden for lunch on the way home and you never know what kind of hoodlums you'll find in there. (you may be attacked with an aluminum walker) Actually, I feel pretty relaxed visiting Columbia. A nice little city.

Old Fart here. Over 65 and still tote a 1911,usually. Sometimes a Hi-Power or a Sig.
If I print and anybody comments, I just ask if they want to help change my colostomy bag. That usually settles 'em down.

I'm 64. Pocket carry S&W 431PD 32 Magnum 6 shot snub, and for woods walking I holster carry a SP101 3" with 38+P Speer Gold Dots.
