I have the first bow I ever had made for me, a 1968 Groves Archery Magnum, it's a 45lb recurve. I'll post pics of it tomorrow.
I also have the best compound bow I ever picked up or shot, a older High Country 4 runner, it is 65~80lb and is such a great bow I can't shoot multiple arrows at the same place or end up Robin Hooding expensive carbon arrows.
I also have a Larry Nirk recurve longbow, but unfortunately it has started to de-laminate, which is sad since it is such a nice bow. My very first bow was a Bear Kodiak Hunter which was a beautiful bow but I sold it to get a Browning that was even nicer. I wish I would have been able to keep them both because they were both excellent quality beautiful bows made in the late 60s early 70s and superb quality. I bought my Groves in 1968 when I was 10 from Grovers Archery lanes which was a local NM Boyer here in Albuquerque. They made it to my specs and measurements, a real hand made custom bow I am lucky to still have! It is now 43 years old and still shoots great!!!
