Anyone get their C&R License recently? If yes, how long did you have to wait? They cashed my check on the 28th of June but have yet to hear anything regarding my license. Thanks!

got mine a few months ago.....

....if i recall, they only took a month or so to get me my actual license.......the info packet came a month after that for some odd reason.

however, ive heard 3 months wait is not unusual.

i believe they cash the check when they first receive it.....and then once they have your money, they take their sweet time getting you the license.

I mailed my C&R application on June 5 or 6. Got my FFL on June 28 or so. It was only 23 days from mailbox to mailbox for me. My packet arrived a few days later.

Gave them a call and was told they have no record of a new application being filed and that I would need to speak to a field agent to see if he has any information as to what might have happened to it. I previously had a C&R for 6 years but accidentally let it expire last year. It appears that may have been a big mistake on my part.

Three weeks. And found them to be the nicest folks to deal with in Govmint these days as well. Extremely helpful, especially compared to our idjits in Kali government positions.......

Wow, 3 weeks is fast. The length of time all depends how busy they are in your state. I was approved my FFL Type 1 this year and it took almost 3 months.

Took me two months. I very politely emailed asking for an update, and they said it had been mailed the day previous, got it shortly thereafter.

They cashed my check pretty quickly. Getting the license took awhile after that.

Go ahead and send a very polite email, and I'm sure you'll get a cordial response back.

EDIT: Didn't see you reply. I would send an email, that way they could forward it to whoever needs to give a status.

And while we're on the subject of C & R licenses, anyone know when these first became available? And I'm also wondering if there's a way to find out the annual percentage of the increase in issued licenses (if there is, though it seems like EVERYBODY is applying for theirs lately) in 2010, compared to the previous years?......

I can't remember the exact date but it wasn't long after Clinton had ATF crack down on those who were getting FFLs for personal use only and so called "kitchen table" FFLs.

Before then a C&R wasn't needed, you'd just get a regular 01 FFL.

I sent my renewal in around the 12th of June, check was cashed a week later.
Still no C&R. I did wait a few weeks when I received the renewal before I returned it.
Had to change my address on my DL. I moved to another county. I'll give it another few weeks.

Do you really have to do $2000 in purchases a yr. to get the discount at Graffs ??
I hope Im mistaken. They did have the best discounts for a 03 ffl.
Are there any other dealers that give a better discount ?

Mike

Sent in my renewal in May,just got a 6 month extention letter and no lic.!!!
This is "round" 4 for me,first time ever taking this long.

Renewal came yesterday -- May 19th renewal

I received the renewal in mail, posting it and $30.00 cheque the very same day. The renewed license -- good for another three years came yesterday.
As mine had expired, I rang the BATF and the very nice lady on 'phone sent me a LOA -- Letter of Authorization (now moot) to use til the actual license came.

I got my first one in about fifteen days and my renewal in about ten. I can't remember the time on the books and stuff.

They admitted that mine was lost. Said there was no record of them receiving my application. I had to e-mail copies of my application and include proof that my check was cashed back in June. I'm sure they will expedite the processing since it has already been over 2 months since they cashed my check.

It took me 28 days from submission until receipt. That was in March of this year. My brother in law applied for his a couple of months later and it took the full 90 days.
