What kind of AK do you own?

 A couple of Lancaster Milled rec. AK-47's.
One in Russian Red, and one in a sunburst.
Great fun!

Converted 7.62x39 Saiga.

Did the basic conversion myself and love it.

Almost as cheap as a WASR these days

Bulgarian x5. They're fun. A bulgarian AK74 was the first gun I bought. Not sure if I should count all 5, as 3 are still waiting to be put together.

Romanian x4. First AK I built was a Romanian. Bought several when they were cheap (<100 a kit with a barrel) put them together over the years.

Egyptian x1. Bought as a kit. Put it together. Haven't shot it.

Yugo M70 x1. Bought a milled kit for the hell of it. Rewelded it back together. Haven't shot it.

Yugo M64 x2. Bought a milled underfolder just to have. Rewelded it and decided that I really wanted to do another one. They're horrible shooters, but corroded bores and no crown will do that to a gun.

Yugo M72 x1. Heavy, but fun. Sorta kinda accurate too. Bought as a parts kit and built it.

I need some Hungarian and Polish to help even out the collection...

First, I must say that I'm a bit envious of CnRnut's collection. NICE!!
I have two AKs: one is a Polytec (by far the better of the two) and one is a Maadi. The Maadi shoots ok, but is much harder to field strip (the bolt just doesn't want to come out of the receiver). I also have a Romanian FPK (looks like a Dragunov, but isn't).
Came close to buying a Century RPK, but thankfully, common sense won out. (It was a build, not a straight import.)
Love the Polytec - I consider it my go-to weapon.

Here are mine.
I couldn't neatly crop out the Mosin and Tokarev.
In spite of what people claim about AKs, that Polytec will surprise you.
:)

I've had a few AK's over the years but get board with them quickly ... for the last couple years I've been tinkering with these Hungarian AMD-65's ... numbers matching but a few Romanian parts and just enough US parts to make them legal.

I thought I wanted to have them parkerized but now that its done I don't like it as it seems every part of metal is a different color ... thinking I'll get them Dura-coated but who knows how long it will be before that happens ...
