The barrel is TacSol, and I think the rail is too.
Looks very nice. I've been meaning to get the same rail and a TacLite barrel (although I want it shorter and threaded for a suppressor host), just have too little money and too many guns I want.
Performed Heggis Flip on the sear spring and stoned the hammer. Trigger pull was already at 3lb - 9oz., after the flip and stoning it went down to 2lb -9oz.
Tactical Solutions:
7.25inch fluted barrel, "low' front fiber optic sight, Integral Sight Rail, Grip Panels.
I have some 1911 grip panels being fabricated along with some magazine pads.
After all the work and $, the wife didn't like the way the nickel slide looked so I put the original black slide back on. ( I had to tell her I was upgrading "her" gun to able to this, but you know who will be shooting more....)
Here's the same pistol with Rusty_22's .45 Grip Adaptors.
As far as shooting, I'm very happy with it. From a benchrest to 25yds I can keep it in about an inch with the open sights. Pretty good for my old eyes. I have a Mueller Quickshot Reflex ready to go on next but I'm enjoying shooting it with the open sights right now. Maybe a scope later on down the road.
I went with the Hogue grips as they felt a lot better in my hand. The Pachmyr's felt cheap as there is an air gap behind the finger grooves. The Pachmyrs looked better but the Hogue's feel better.
