Most accurate handgun you've ever fired?

Some excellent marksmen here. Nice shooting.

The most accurate gun I have fired is my Les Baer Premier II (see test target of 10 rounds @ 50 yards). But I could never approach that type of accuracy even off sandbags. The gun I have fired most accurately (single best target) offhand (for 10 rounds at 25 yards = 1.63") is my SIG P220R. Go figure. The 2 pistols that I consistently shoot/average the best groups with are my Les Baer and my Springfield Custom Competition .45's.

Had an Encore pistol in .243 that would just do MOA at 100 off sandbags. I, of course, couldn't hold that accurately under field conditions. Sorry to have sold that one.

Smith & Wesson M66 Combat Magnum, my grandfather bought it new January 31st 1977, he put 6 rounds of .38 through it and never shot it again. i got it when he passed last year.

its a true POA POI gun. shooting full power .357mag rounds through it i can knock around 1galon water jugs at 50 yards with ease.

Probably the HK P7 I just picked up the other day.

Fortunately the shop where I bought it had a range so before I left I put 50 rounds through it. I was shocked at just how accurate this gun is, even more accurate than my Walther P88! I guess all the rumors about the legendary accuracy of these guns is true!

Tie between a Ruger MkII Govt. Target (which I no longer own) and a Desert Eagle in .44Mag that I rented at a range. Both shot into 1" at 25 yards. I've never been able to duplicate that accuracy with any other handguns.

T-C Contender in 22 Hornet.;)

But other than shooting targets from sandbags, I couldn't figure out what it was good for....

...way too "snappy" for small game (if you intended to eat what ya shot)...

...and not big enough for "big game.":(

I use the .22 Hornet all the time (mine is a Model 82 Kimber rifle) for crows, coyotes and similar varmits.

1939 Registered Magnum, 50 shots, 15 yrds single action off-hand. This was with a stout load of 2400 and 158 grn semi-wadcutters.

Any gun that can make me shoot this good, is a keeper. I admit that my Sig 210-5 is a close second though and the pre-25 is not that bad either.

I know this is an old thread, but the best group I've gotten from my
Ruger MKII 5.5" target model is just under 1" at 100yards.
Not as good as some of these guys are getting though, check it out:

Eley Tenex ammo or Lapua ammo and a trigger job and a good high power scope and lots of sand bags and practiove will do wonders for your groups.

Nighthawk GRP Recon. 7 rounds in 1.25 inches at 50 yards as fast as I can pull the trigger. Now, for $3700 it should make a ragged hole at 50 yards as long as the finger behind the trigger is doing his part. As far as pistols I actually own...Sig P232 in .380acp. In slow fire I can manage a magazine into 1 1/2 inches at 25 yards.

Well, the one I've fired most accurately most often is my Ruger 22/45. That darn thing makes me look like a lot better shot than I actually am. ;)

Freedom Arms 83 .454 shooting Remington 225gr? lead .45LC loads. Super accurate combo.

I'd have to say the most accurate handgun i've shot is my s&w 2nd model target. .22lr.

we were picking corners of a two inch diamond at 50 yds with cci. it seems to love that stuff. anything else it'll hit the 2"bull at 50. off the bench.
