What is the last gun that you bought?

This one followed me home. Got it for concealed carry. It is really growing on me. I was looking at the Ruger LC9, but just hate that trigger. This one is a little bigger, but the trigger is so much better.

S&W M&P 9C

I really hate the white warning about how it can fire with the mag removed. Duh, is a gun... Wish there was an easy way to remove that.

The reason it is there is because they also make M&Ps (and other guns) with magazine safeties (aka, not capable of firing with magazine removed)

So the "Duh, is a gun" statement is sorta invalid here...

But it is a nice gun, I have a FS M&P9 on the way for Christmas :)

I know why they have it. Do the ones with the mag safety proudly announce 'This Gun Cannot Be Fired Without A Magazine'?

Just a personal rant of mine on how all these 'safety' warnings take up so much space on the slides of guns. Duh, is a gun, use the basic safety rules, and things are good.

My point is basic safety. Not relying on a magazine safety. I will read the manual, and see what built in safeties are on the gun. And any magazine safeties will be removed if it can be easily done.

Just my opinion, everybody has one.

'Duh, is a gun' might go bang if you play with it, mag safety or not. How much more instructions are they going to put on the slide? :cuss:

I'm with you, Fred. With our litigious society anything and everything becomes a lawsuit....I wish common sense was actually common nowadays...

I'm with you on that one. Needs to be renamed uncomon sense!

Going to a gun show tomorrow, will pick up a Mosin-Nagant if I see one in good condition for under $130...

Peskos, you can buy them online starting at around $79. Of course, with $20 or so shipping and FFL fees, you might find a good deal at the gun show. Always a bit of a gamble buying online, site unseen.

"Picked up a slightly used 1911 Ed Brown Kobra Carry today."

And you did not post a picture. You should be banned! :what: :neener:

Santa's elves custom built a Rossi matched pair for my son. 22LR and a 410 barrel included also. His first rifle and the only one that he ever got excited over. He's at an odd size where the small ones are too small and most youth models are too large and heavy. He shouldered this one and declared it to be "just my size!" Since it is light, he can actually fire it off hand without needing bags or my help. I sort of wanted a nice lever or at least the nicer stainless model, but this one is what HE reacted the strongest to. Can't wait for him to fire his first round in his very own rifle. Now if I can just find some mini shooting slings...feel free to pm me if you know of some good ones!

Plus it will make a nice kit gun even when he gets big enough for an adult gun. I'm excited to shoot it, but I'm making myself wait so he can be the one to break it in.

Merry Christmas!
