NFA application & C&R license #

I am a Missouri resident and until this past August if you didn't have at least a C&R you couldn't play the NFA game, so I had to, but I would put on there anyways, it cant hurt anything. When they run your name and address it will most likely show up, the ATF issued the license and the ATF will approve your stamp.

Is it a C&R silencer? If not, then it doesn't apply.
Since it is an NFA item, I would think that either type of FFL license # would be about the same... They aren't asking about a Class III.
The info on Missouri is interesting. And it shouldn't hurt... They'll just see it is a C&Are when looking it up. I'm leaning towards putting it in.

If you do indeed put your C&R FFL # on the F4, you will most likely delay the form due to error. It isn't needed, call the help line at the NFA tech branch and confirm if you'd like but what they're wanting to know is if you have an 07, 03, 10, or similar FFL - NOT a C&R unless the NFA item is C&R eligible.
I personally wouldn't bother making the wait a few weeks longer than it will already be, but that's your prerogative.

Title II firearms can transfer directly to a non-SOT-paying FFL, they just have to pay the transfer tax.

What's class III have to do with an FFL number? As others have said - any FFL can transact NFA, just not tax free.
I believe the type 3 (03) IS the C&R.
So it seems people think it will delay things. I'm a bit surprised about that thought because it is quick for them to put it in and see what it is, and choose to ignore it when they see it is a type 3.
On the flip side, it asks for the transferor's FFL (if any), and one could also presume that they wouldn't be amused if they find you didn't enter one when you had one...
Really? I had 2 F4's approved in less than 60 days less than a year ago, April or May, so if I would have not put my C&R number on there it could have gone faster?
Giving the ATF more information than they need will not slow things down, its lack of information, as soon as they look at the ffl number they know what type of license you have.
