I have looked for this info on the 'net...found some, but a little too ambiguous for me.

I have a Tasco 5-20X50 with a 1" tube mounted on a Savage 110e. This is an older scope, but I don't know how old.
Pics, I know.. I'll get to that in the next few days.

Anyway, it has a solid line crosshair in the vertical and horizontal with a Second horizontal line just below it.
I apparently this is some type of range finding line? I shoot it just using the center crosshairs....but that lower line is just bugging me .

This scope has a lot of adjustments, even for parallax, with yard markers and meter markers as well. Does this have anything to do with the second horizontal?
Thanks for any input! :)

The second dash on teh lower post is just to asist you with holder. each cartridge will ahve a different drop, but with a little range time you can dope out where that second dash will be for you at varying distances. you can then use the crosshair, the second line, and a visual half way point between the two that will act as holdover points for you.

OK, I think I see what you are saying.

The thing is, the second line extends all the way across the the optic (just like the main horizontal). There is no post, hash marks, chevrons, numbers, "tick marks" or mil dots.

Just the second (and lower) crosshair on the horizontal.

Sorry if I was unclear  .

From the eyepiece, it looks like this: Full size the image, much less fuzzy :)

(Sorry for the lousy art. MS Paint and no teenagers home to help me.. )

ETA: Next outing, I'll just have to experiment with the exat impact point when using the Hold-over line.

Anyone know where I could find a "manual" of some sort for this scope?
