Good Morning,
I'm trying to get a safe, accurate load for my 7mm-08 using 154 grain Hornady Inter-Bond bullets. I'd like to get the speed to 2760 fps
(this works out to just over 2600 ft-lbs of energy which several state fish and game sites list as appropriate for use on moose).
I have some accurate loads for the 154 gr Inter-lok but the 154 gr Inter-Bond is a much longer bullet, leading to deeper seating. Is this likely to be a problem?
Does anybody have good data for the IB bullet? Can I follow the usual rule that applying data from a heavier bullet is safe for the lighter bullet?
I see some compressed loads listed. Once we've reached the state of compression does the deeper seating matter (assuming no case bulging, etc.)?
Anybody have luck with 160, 162, or 175 gr bullets in 7mm-08?
Thanks for any and all help.
