Remington 1100 23 inch 3 gun barrel ?

Do 3 gun shooters run a 23 inch barrel for the 10 shot extenion or is it to get the gas system to run low brass rounds ?

Does the length of the barrel have any impact on the gas system like it does on a AR ?

Most (Tac Optics) 3gun shooters run a 20"-24" barrel, mostly for the flush 8-9rd. magazine tube.

I don't think that barrel length has anything to do with the gas system on the Remington 1100. Don't quote me on that, tho.

I have read that Remington 1100's require at least a 20-21 inch barrel for correct function of the gas system
