Anti Stand Your Ground Law? For real or hoax?

I was in the NJGunforums and found a link for famed NJ gun attorney Evan Nappen who claims that NJ Senator Lautenberg has filed in the Senate a law that rescinds all stand your ground laws.

I did a Google on it and it leads back to Nappen's link. NJGunForums and a Pro PA gun site. I found no government proposal, link or anything official.

It is maybe a hoax, or a just a tongue in cheek commentary.... but..: to inflame the pro gun community by this does no good.

What do you think?

“Turn Tail and Run” Law Proposed

by Evan F. Nappen

"Washington, D.C. Senator Lousenburg (D. NJ) has filed the “Turn Tail and Run” (TTR) bill in the U.S. Senate which, if passed, would preempt ALL State “Stand Your Ground” (SYG) laws. The new bill would impose a national duty to retreat at all times when one encounters a criminal threat or is about to become a victim of violent crime. "

Hoax of course.

1) You are criminally attacked, run away!
2) You see others being criminally attacked, run away!
3) You are threatened with violent crime, run away!
4) You see others being threatened with violent crime, run away!

Two hints. Real legal proposals don't use exclamation points. And real bills have bill numbers attached to them "H.R. 1234" and such.

Why would a famous gun attorney post this, especially now with Stand Your Ground laws under 'review' ? ...(as the media puts it). To fire up the pro-gun side?

Yes, a story that references "Senator Lousenberg" and "Mayor Bloomingidiot" along with the President supposedly quoting from Monty Python, is totally on the level. Some people...

I think it was intended as satire to ridicule the people who are attacking the SYG laws. Sort of like Swift's "Modest Proposal".

Mods please close this thread, it is a hoax...I did some more searches and still found nothing ....so as far as I know there is no legislation repealing any "Stand Your Ground" law.
Thanks...
