Trijicon Acog Riflescopes

I had one mounted on my M4 last tour in Iraq. Pretty tough scope. Held its zero after I got tossed out of a humvee and landed on it. Was still hitting COM without any adjustments. I'd stake my life, and have, on an ACOG. I'd own one if they weren't so expensive.

have you had any experiences with the trijicon acog sights for the m4's?
what color reticles? orange or green is better? or which color is best?
happen to know what model the military is using?

I ran an ACOG on my duty rifle for work (LE). Great scope, the extra magnification is great for intel gathering and discriminating what people are holding.

Mine was a 4x, red, chevron reticle.

I've owned several over the years, and they were great, compact gunsights. I had a TA31 and TA11. Both had chevron reticules with BDC, the TA31 was green, TA11 was amber. They hold zero once it's settled in, are very lightweight and almost indestructible.

Although I really liked them both, I found that they didn't suit my needs, so I have since switched to an Aimpoint Micro on my AR and a Vortex Razor HD on the Sig.
