Just thought I would post a couple of photo's of a neat little knife. they are made in france. This one is a large 5 franc silver coin from 1873 that was used to make it.
This one is a two blade one in very nice condition.

Hello friends and neighbors // Thanks for posting, I always enjoy something new and the coin knife is new to me.


The coin is in good condition, other than Silver or Gold value,how much does the type,age ...of coin affect the value?
I'll be looking for them at the shops now.
 
The coins weight close to a us silver dollar. the hercules coin are not that expensive in themselfs. The coin knife have been around from this company in france since like the 1920's and still produce a line today.
If you buy them new they are expensive but can be found on ebay for a decent price. Justs keep a eye out at shows and the such as I find it amazing what you can pick up sometimes.
 
My grandfather had a knife somewhat like that.

My aunt took it when he died. I wonder what happened to it.
