Title pretty much says it all :). Just curious to see what seems to work best for most people who decide to carry snub revolvers iwb from time to time.

I can tell you what I don't do anymore.

I used to carry on the small of my back, no cant. Then I heard a story about a couple of guys who did the same, slipped and fell landing square on the gun with their spine. Don't remember how bad the damage was but it permanently put them on disability. Now i carry in the pocket.

I've carried both a Ruger SP101 and a S&W 340 M&P in an IWB holster.

I prefer a "standard" FBI cant angle, and feel the best carrying around 3:30 or 4:eek:o ish on the body.
Just behind the hip, as it is commonly referred to....

The grip is all that sticks up above the beltline, and with a hammerless revolver, it draws quickly and snag free.

For the M&P, I used a Remora holster
For the SP, I used a Qwikclip IWB from Crossbreed or a AKJ Concealco IWB.

snubs rule!

I carry a 2.25" Ruger SP101 without a hammer IWB right in the front. The clip of the holster is just to the right of my belt buckle.

Actually I carry mine in the right rear pocket of my jeans with untucked shirttail providing cover. Works well. Carry either a Colt older model Agent 38 or Bulldog 44 Spl.

Mostly i wear my Colt Detective special in a OWB holster at my 4 pm position. I also carry it sans holster in my right rear pocket.

"just to the right of my belt buckle"

I can carry a J-frame there. I can carry a BHP there too if I'm not driving for 3 hours or so. :)

I'm 61 and my stomach has always been flatter than my butt. I usually pocket carry a Rohrbaugh fwiw.

2:30 - 3:00 or 9:00 - 9:30 with a J frame in a Mika IWB and more towards 2:00 for a 4" barrel with a sourdough pancake.

Snubbies, IWB, I will generally carry only forward of the point of the hip, straight drop. This can be either appendix or cross-draw, the latter usually only for secondary handguns. Behind the point of the hip, IWB, I prefer longer-barreled handguns, with just a bit of forward cant.

My favored "primary" carry position is at about 0300, outside the trousers, but I do have and use IWB rigs some of the time.

Yep, that's me. Losing weight is making that location better and better for carry. Before I got my .357 snub, I had been carrying my Taurus 82hb (4" service revolver) there.

I tried a Glock 17 in the same position, it was ok, but sitting was a little uncomfortable .

I carry all my guns in the exact same position, behind the hip, IWB, slightly more than FBI cant. More than 15deg, less than 20deg.

Bottomfeeder or wheelgun, the gun goes in the same place every single day. The grab and draw are the same.

My S&W snubby is just to the right of the belt buckle with a slight cant. Easy to get to while seated (even with seatbelt).

I carry IWB and on the belt at about the 4:00 position, with a little forward cant. Just feels the best to me after years as an LEO. Easy access and comfortable, and the gun is out of the way if facing an aggressor. Sometimes, when driving or when hiking gear is in the way, I carry crossdraw for better access. I've tried about every carry option over the years and I always come back to 4:00 and forward cant. It may or may not be the best for everyone.

I carry a Smith and Wesson Model 66 in a 2 1/2" in a Gould and Goodrich leather pancake holster. The gun rides at my 3:30 with about a 45 degree cant. With a gun that has a full-sized grip like this, I like all the cant that I can get. The butt of the grip rides directly under my ribs, so it rides pretty well when I'm sitting down.

I carry at approximately 12:46 with no cant in a Nighthawk IWB holster. Shoulder issues prevent me from going past the hip or I would carry at 4:14. :D
