At one time I used to speak broken Russian, but you know what they say, if you don't use it.... having to spell it out with our alphabet doesn't help, either.

It's immensely difficult to think in phonetic Russian--whew!
As I confided to Snowdog, my Russian is rusty, too--lack of use over the years. That happens when your language opportunities run out and you have to move on to other things.

Thanks for the welcome... I do still have a Sig (P229)(it's essentially the carry gun) but the 1911 bug bit a year ago and I moved on from there.
