Savage 22-250.

First time my wife ever shot a gun, this was the gun I handed her.

She put 10 shots in a group the size of a dime at 125 yards.

If I were a betting man, and I ever felt the need to castrate a squirrel at 300 yards without damaging anything else.. it's what I'd grab.

PS, the dog is named Austin. He was a good friend of mine who passed away on New Years Eve, this year. First thing I officially "did" in 2012 was dig his grave. It's a nice grave, overlooking the lake.

Sorry, I get sentimental about my pups. And my guns.

MosinFreak - there's a youtube video out there of a guy out west shooting a K31 at 1000 yards.

He was hitting about 80% of the time. With iron sights.

Those rifles are beautiful and deadly accurate. I'm lucky to own a specimen. :)

This with 125g handloads at 1500 fps.

When something big needs killing my grab is this Searcy PH model in .470NE. She also shoots lights out. The target shown below is an example of what a perfectly regulated double rifle should shoot like. That is two lefts and two rights at 50 yards off of a sand bag rest.
H&H hunter: Wow, a Nitro Express? You are much braver than I, sir!

If only I was THAT good, lol. :) I'm in love with these rifles.
