It's too bad that something that took over a year to write is read in only 4 days. I love this series and can't wait for the next one!

I'm just sad there's nothing left. I've read everything, and now I'm waiting. I'll have to fill the intervals with Stephen King I guess.

I have hard cover a signed copy coming from amazon that my wife got me for Christmas but it won't be here until at least the 13.
Correia you need to head up to Vermont sometime, we're like Canada with maple syrup:). in Sullivan's opinion.

I remember when I first read some of Carreia's work, when I discovered the old Nightcrawler story. Then I bought Deep Six, and I held off on MHI because I'm not normally into monsters and all that.

But then I found his website, and to someone who likes to write fiction for fun his advice was pretty good. So good, in fact, that I decided I would give MHI a try, if only to support such a great guy.

I just finished MHI this weekend, and now the rest of the series is in the mail. It was easily the best book I've read in a long time. I look forward to spending some more time in the sometimes wacky but always epic world he has made.

Thanks Correia!!!

Thanks. :D

I'm in Philly this morning, then on to New Jersey. I've met a bunch of folks from THR, TFL, and WTA on this trip. I met Brian's son last night.

And somebody asked about SHOT. Yes. It takes place during SHOT. In fact, "free samples" come into play. :)

Chivalry isn't dead...

But I certainly wish my mother-in-law could read just a little faster... Or that I had simply circumvented the process by buying two copies.

HAHA I just saw this thread and realized that Correia was a member. that's awesome. His books are pretty good too.

Yup.

Actually, he predates the forum.

He's one of the turtles on whose back the forum rests.

He's one of the early days "Titans" of forum moderation. Before the forum were the Titans. And turtles, naturally.

A man of many facets, and THR is only one of those. (The most important facet, of course.) :D

Got to meet Larry in Willow Grove a couple of days ago. He's a good guy. Very funny and signed EVERY SINGLE BOOK the store had on hand. Much to the store manager's surprise.

Monster Hunter Legion is fast paced and good entertainment. (I see MYSTEEEEEERIOUS forces moving pawns into position for the next books) It was a single day read for me. Couldn't put it down. Do yourself a favor and go pick it up!

Well, you're free to tell him you think of him like that.

I'll wait respectfully outside the room while you have that conversation.

:D

I went to a book signing Wednesday and Larry Correia was fantastic. If you can possibly make one of these events please do so, you will not regret it.

Get his book also, Monster Hunter Legion is fun, fast-paced, and full of guns and explosions, and I'm only on page 173.

I'm just finishing up Alpha right now; I'm already composing the review in my head for my blog. Suffice it to say that I like it, and Earl Harbinger may well be the best protagonist since Hiro Protagonist.

I'm currently in South Carolina at CHS AFB (or JB CHS if I have to acknowledge the Navy side), so I'm waiting until I get back to Connecticut to purchase Legion. I'm really looking forward to it!

By the way, the whole dust-up with Recoil Magazine was hilarious justice incarnate.

Just finished up Legion, myself. I kept cracking up at the acronym for the Unicorn task force. Nice work again, Larry.

As an aside, I can tell your books are taking off because I have one of your patches on one of my hats; for the first year or so that I had it, no one ever commented. Now I find gun guys noticing the patch in coffeeshops and at the range.

I usually 'read' books as audio books, including tha Monster Hunter series. I get them from audible.com. Thanks for getting them on there Larry, it's been fun listening. I also have one of the signed copies from when you were selling the first book here.

Congrats on your success!!
