anybody tried these..they look like a great idea with the fragmenting slug so you dont get over penetration through walls..what do you all think of them

That's an ounce of lead going 1600fps and only made to split into three pieces. I wouldn't use it for HD. Even one of those chunks will still go through a lot, and that's assuming it fragments reliably (which it probably won't in a human-sized target).

I'd stick with smaller sizes of buckshot, but if you like the slugs, then go for it.

I'm not impressed with the concept.

If I use a slug, I want it to penetrate. Thus I use Brenneke KOs in the Sidesaddle, in case more range/greater penetration is needed. The magazine is loaded with tight patterning 00 buck...

18 inch barrel is 1300 feet per second..i like these because id rather us a slug than buck shot..and the fact it breaks apart cause alot of internal damage and kills the energy alot faster by doing so and making penetration through walls less likely..i plan on doing some testing shooting into drywall and other objects and see how it performs

Here is what it looks like at 20 yards coming out of a Benelli Super Nova Tactical, 18.5" barrel. I like it but would be hesitant to use it at distance for fear of where the buckshot would end up.
