Which guns have you resigned not to get?

A S&W M7P Model 45 revolver,,,

A S&W M7P Model 45 revolver,,,
It's commonly called the "Post Office" model.

Basically it is a Model 10 chambered for .22 LR.

When I first got back into buying guns a few years ago,,,
I decided I wanted to collect identical twins in rimfire and centerfire.

I put together a list and I have acquired all of them except for the Model 45,,,
The last one I saw went for over $2,000 at a GunBroker auction.

I've resigned myself to probably never own one. :(

Any of the firearms specifically covered by the 2nd amendment as per the Miller decision.

A weapon appropriate for and chosen by the US Army.

e.g. a brand new real M-4 Carbine

A high-end 1911 in the $2000+ range. Sure would be cool to own, but I just can't bring myself to spend that much on a pistol.

this ^^ and a full-auto tommy, very cool but just not in the cards. now if i could bring myself to play the lotto, much less win....then maybe.

I've always wanted a browning t-bolt and a m6 scout. I just don't need them, and have other guns higher on my "get list".

Bren 10. The couple times there's been a possible exchange scenario, other options have arisen - or - as much as I want one, even when I can afford one something else steals the limelight.

Seems I'm destined to not go there... oh yeah, the Sig 210 as well.

Any Glock, Highpoint pistol (carbine maybe), or anything mall ninja's and gunsnobs call cool, unless I can get for under $500. Actually, there are very few guns that I would refuse to own other than the ones already mentioned, but my gun purchases are governed by budget restraints more than likes or dislikes. But, I do not own 'safe queens'. If I cant USE it (for something other than target shooting), I won't even consider buying it unless I can re-sell it for a profit.

The new Winchester 94---$1200 +
Now there is a company that really knows how to lay it to the public--

If I remember correctly--- I paid about $125.00 for mine

Most any of the recent Kel-Tec offerings. KSG, SU-16, PMR30, RFB, heck even Sub-2000s are hard to get.

I figure I'm not going to be one of the fanbois that spend 150% of MSRP just to have one.

Anything with a 3-position selector.

Plus Pythons and S&W Triple-locks and Registered Magnums. Honestly any nice vintage Smiths and Colts are getting too pricey.

Too many I'd like to get, but almost certainly won't, for budget reasons....

Original Harry Sanford designed Automag - preferably with all three uppers - .25AMP, .357 JMP and .44AMP in a cased set.

WWII era Walther P38 and PPK.

LeMat reporduction cap&ball revolver

Colt Python, 50's to 70's production.

WWII G43/K43 rifle.

Those I utterly refuse to get....

Anything by Kel-Tec - seen too many failures, and too many 'vaporware'.

Anything by Bryco/Jennings or similar.....

An M198. Would really love to have one, but just don't have a place to keep it or shoot it and couldn't afford to feed it anyways.

Just Two

A Lee Jurras 44 automag and a Ruger Hawkeye 256 win mag.

Hard to find and I doubt I would part with the cash anymore. Especially for the the anto mag.

The gun that I've always wanted but I've resigned myself to probably never own would have to be a Franchi SPAS 12.

Practicality and cost just combine to make it a gun I love, but will most likely never own.

I would like:

Modern - a Glock 18, just because

Old - A perfect Sharps 4 barrel derringer

HK94SG1 man I kick myself for not getting one of these

HK P7K3 man I kick myself for not getting one of these

A Luger.

I kick myself for not getting one when they were going for around $500-600 for a nice one back in the day. I thought that was a lot of money for an old milsurp pistol.

Now I wish I would have bought ten of them, because now they're way more than I'd ever spend for one.

Which guns have you resigned not to get?

Oh, lots of guns:
Everything from every video game ever
Most stuff from TV shows and movies (specifically a PTRS anti-tank rifle paired with a Fiat 500 :D)
Anything Select-Fire
Lever Action 45-70 (for now...)
S&W 1006 (until a 10mm carbine comes out)
Tokarev Pistol (my CZ52 is just fine and don't try to tell me otherwise)
AR-pattern (ain't got no soul)
AK-pattern (ain't got no looks)
SKS (see AK)
Glock (see AR-pattern)
1911 (maybe if everyone and their brother doesn't own five one day)
Kel-Tec RFB or KSG (I really tried to put up with the pricing/availabilty, but I just can't)
Mosin-Nagant Rifle (see 1911)
Milsurp Mauser (have you seen these prices? I'll stick with my K31)
M1 Garand (have you seen these prices? I'll stick with my FN49 in 30-06)
Any German repeating arm from WWII (thanks, Weevil)

I'm still holding out hope for these guys, who may soon make the list nonetheless :(
Mateba Unica 6-for less than my firstborn
Beretta CX4 carbine
PS90
Beretta BM59 (sawed-off, folding, box-mag fed M1 Garand in 308)

No 1911s ever again. I'm done with them, too expensive and too disappointing.
No Glocks or XDs, pretty much no plastic at all, I like steel, stainless steel.
No more Taurus, last one was a train wreck, unlike a friend's identical model that is great! :barf:
I will live without a Browning HP, any Ruger semiauto, any shotgun over .410, and a lot of others. Still leaves me a bunch to get someday.
