Just pls leave the rest of Chicago behind.

Wait a second, we make and use more guns here in Illinois than you do in Texas. Bring the jobs here. Our governor will be gone in the next election. And Illinois is a gun friendly state, just not people freindly. And yes, stay away from Chicago too many of your products are misused there because the mayor is too stupid to arm the citizians there except for the drug dealers and gangbangers that voted for him.

Your profile says you live in Madisonville. I've been to your fine town MANY times. Do you honestly think you have a traffic problem?

LOL One of the main reasons I moved there was because of Traffic.

When I first moved to TX I started in Webster, got over ran by the plague that is the city, moved to Spring and got over ran again. Finally I said Im moving far enough out of town that the city wont engulf me in my life time.

I love the fact that a "traffic jam" now consists of a tractor and one or two vehicles..

Quite true. Davy Crockett was also from Tennessee. Jim Bowie was from Kentucky. William Travis was from South Carolina. I would say all of those fine men died defending Texas as well as anyone today could hope to do. You Texans were lucky to have them.

Set up close north of HOuston like the towns of New Waverly and Huntsville. THat is one nice place , close to Houston and Dallas. Remember Houston is the biggest metropolitan in Texas and we have the 2nd busiest port in USA.

Just read this post. I was thinking the same thing last night. Let all gun manufactures move to Texas. We've got our own electric grid, shipping out of the gulf, we have oil and gas and lots of tax incentives to bring new job to our state. Would be a boom to our economy and create more jobs. Probably a lot less red tape to do business here and no snow or harsh winters to deal with. I'd like to see Windham move here as well. The North Eastern States wouldn't have to deal with the problem anymore. I've got a 200 acre cotton farm that would be a perfect place to set up shop.

What a great idea! Go Ted!

I'm one of the people who moved to Texas. I don't like the "I got here 5 minutes before you so you're not welcome" attitude.

I was in the military, went to Ft Hood, liked the area and decided to move here. With all of my conservative beliefs, I escaped from a slave state to a free state. I hope more people do the same.

Why Austin, the liberal paradise? It's where the jobs are and it's a very nice city.

I am very interested in the western/mountain states as well. Beautiful country out there.

Thank you, Ted Cruz

I laud Senator Cruz for his pushback on the proposed numbnutz legislation from blue states and have written to him in thanks.

On this gun-friendly site (and others) there has been a lot made of Texas not wanting individuals trying to relocate from blue states --- some kidding, some not.

Some are stuck in their situations. They chafe under the burden of hypocritical laws and oppressive taxes, but are held by the ties that bind. I'd suggest my fellow Texans give them a break. Support them in their efforts to turn things around. And don't think it can't happen to us.

This is still a country allowing folks to vote with their feet. I hope folks that choose to relocate to Texas, Florida, Arizona, Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisiana, Alabama, Wyoming, .... (might be easier to just say relocating from New York, California, ...) are willing to spend time learning about their new homes. Just speaking for myself, I'd expressly welcome anyone who works, wants to build a future, and minds their own business.

For folks considering the move, here is a litmus test: collective responsibility vs personal responsibility?.

“Political tags — such as royalist, communist, Democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth — are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire. The former are idealists acting from highest motives for the greatest good of the greatest number. The latter are surly curmudgeons, suspicious and lacking in altruism. But they are more comfortable neighbors than the other sort.” Robert Heinlein

Our new Senator, Ted Cruz rocks.

Our governor will be gone in the next election.
As in, gone to prison, like your last two...or was it three? :neener:
