After going around and around trying to find a good holster for my Kahr CW9, I just went ahead and bought a new pocket carry gun. And since I have been wanting one for a long time, I bought me a NAA Guardian .380. I love the heavier weight of the Guardian over the Ruger LCP, which was my second choice. I am hoping the extra weight will aid in less recoil for the tiny gun. The only downside that is a deal breaker for some people is the really heavy trigger. I really don't mind that so much. To me, it doesn't feel all that different than a Smith & Wesson 642. And after a little polishing, it is super smooth.

I didn't like the extended magazine so I trimmed it off to a flat base plate, but that is just a personal preference for me. I really like all the personalizing you can do with it too. I plan on getting some wood grips and a slide that has the scalloped serrations on the front as well as the rear. Possibly having some night sights dovetailed in the slide as well. Some may think this gun is ugly, but I find it as sexy as a Walther PPK.

I will be making a trip to the range tomorrow morning for a test run and to see which HP ammo it prefers. Range report to come. And to find me a good holster for it other than the cheap Uncle Mike's pocket holster.

About 10 weeks for Grizzle. You can get expedited service. Give 'em a call if you're interested.

10 Weeks?!!! I am so tired of these companies charging out the wazoo for a simple and small holster and then charging a ridiculous shipping charge, and then it taking so long to be able to carry the very thing that may be required to save your life. If it is going to take so long, one should not charge so much money. Especially since the last holster I waited 2 months for was a total piece of crap. It was poorly made and also was not to my order specifications. That was a FIST holster, by the way. I think 2 weeks is sufficient time. It only took that time to have a custom holster made by Comp-Tac.

To my mind (and maybe I'm brainwashed (or brain dead) after waiting for a Milt Sparks VM2) 10 weeks to 2 months seems fairly reasonable. And especially these days when it seems everybody in the biz is way backed up.

Of course if the quality isn't there at the end of the tunnel then it would be quite frustrating.

The heavier weight of the Guardian will never makeup for the fact that it is a blowback action with much more felt recoil than the locked breach action LCP.

Yep, this ^^^. The best recoil tamer for the LCP is simply a Talon rubber grip. Makes a huge difference. Guardian will have your pants slipping down on the side you carry it. LCP is one of those guns you forget is there.

If you think finding a great holster for the CW9 was hard, wait till you try carrying a boat anchor in your pocket.:D

Guardian vs Kahr CW9
Prettier
Blowback, more felt recoil than a locked breech/recoil operated.
Heavier
Virtually nonexistent sights
Weaker caliber
Less mag capacity

IMHO you just went backwards.;)

Before its over you might have wished you bought the Ruger . Weight , trigger and recoil That why I have left them alone .

The Kahr CW9 and the Guardian aren't in the same class and cannot be compared. The CW9 would not fit in my pocket. And the weight of the Guardian in my pocket is nothing compared to the Glock 27 I used to carry in my pocket. I like the Guardian for its wider grip. I can get a much better hold on the firearm. And that is what is going to make any level of recoil more manageable. There are a lot of people who said the Walther PPK had a heavy recoil and couldn't hit anything with it. I used to make cans dance at 25 yards, easy. I used to have a Kahr PM9 and could not shoot it for nothing. Others love theirs. It all comes down to finding the right firearm for each of us. I like the Guardians. Ever since I shot one at a range that rented pistols, I have wanted one. So even though others have not liked theirs, I am sure I will like mine.

I carry a .32 caliber. I like the NAA pistols. I don't have one, but congratulations. I currently carry a .32 H&R Magnum, and ammo is so hard to find. Well decent ammo that I am going to be buying a .380 or 9mm single stack in a month or two.

I am tired of the J Frame hanging out in my pants pocket.

I always want a Guardian when I see one. They look very robust.

Then I think that if I'm going to buy a .32 auto, the P32 is the clear choice. Its so light and small, yet because its a locked breech pistol its recoil is almost negligible.

The fact that its available all day for $200 is a big plus as well.

I would really love to see a threaded barrel version of either gun...

I recently waited nearly 6 months for a Milt Sparks Executive's Companion leather IWB for my Glock 26.

Ryan Grizzle's leather work is superb and definitely worth the wait. I've been very please with the pocket holster he made for my Seecamp .32.

The wait time is less for Robert Locke to make you a Meco pocket holster. He does great work too.

Good luck!

Why OUCH? Because folks are being mean to me for loving my pistol for the reasons they are assuming about it? LOL. Read my range report. It was flawless! I wanted a heavier gun to control the recoil and it did. So... :neener:

it's not "assuming" when I have owned one.

The weight would probably have to be twice what it is to make the pistol even close to having the felt recoil of any of the locked breech pocket pistol like like a TCP, LCP, P380, P3AT and on and on and probably three times the weight would not bring it even with the P238's felt recoil.

It is like I said before. A handgun may work better for one person than another. I didn't like the Ruger LCP. It was too thin for my taste. And I don't like single action pistols for self defense. I had a Sig P238, and I admit, it was a beauty of a gun. I just don't like the idea of the single action and manual safety in my pocket. The Guardian works for me. And it works for some other too. Its not for everyone, just like the LCP or Sig.

Yes I agree, but that doesn't change the recoil characteristics of the pistol and that's all I wanted to point out.

they are well made guns those NAA any caliber........ while the .380 is a bit large and heavy compared to their .32 version is is still pocketable. have fun with it and be safe.

grips

Adam. Do yourself a favor and check out the nice wood grips they have on the NAA website. They bring the recoil to the barely tolerable level and look great. The 32 is smaller and the recoil is less of a hand hammer.

I owned one. That blowback is brutal. Way more than a 380 need to be.

I now have a Kahr P380. No complaints.
