I don't really like the stock charging handle for my M&P 15 Sport I have. I don't know a ton about what's out there, or the different options.

I would like something that was more ergonomic, I suppose. I don't really like how I grab the stock one. What do you prefer? Why?

Any links or pictures would be appreciated.
thanks

Take a look at Brownells. Keep in mind that the charging handle itself is basically the same but there are numerous latches which are easy to change out.

Keep in mind, the bigger the latch, the more prone it is to snag equipment or clothing. For a hunting rifle that is seldom shot to bolt lock, I don't mess with the big latches.

Thanks, everyone. I got the BCM4 ambidextrous model. I think I need to make my M&P ambidextrous for my wife (I'm also buying an ambi safety).

I shoot lefty and IMHO there isn't any need for any of the ambi mods to the AR-platform. The charging handle is in the center. Use your thumb to hit the mag release button like you would the lever on an AK or M14. The safety is a maybe but I just use my trigger finger or slide my thumb over behind the grip.

My wife likes things nice and easy to deal with, so the ambidextrous charging handle is well worth it on that count.

BCM Gunfighter Charging Handle (medium) checking in (on both rifles)

I like it because it's a more sure-handed grasp

I use the original BCM Gunfighters with the large latches. I'm sure you'll be happy with the ambi Gunfighter. You might also look into a Norgon Ambi-Catch to complete your ambification. I'm a lefty, and I love 'em.
