Does anyone have a $1/4 million to spend?

Guns&Religion

Light years beyond what I could ever afford; truly a beautiful piece of gunmaking artistry. Thanks for the look.

But the guy said it's the next thing that's going to be banned. Maybe I better buy it before it's too late?
This plastic BB gun I picked up for $ 750 is really a good deal cause the owner said it will be banned too. Guess were all lucky to get on these great deals before its too late.

I have no doubt that H&H are among the best gun makers in the world......

....but if I'm dropping $220,000 on a single rifle, it had better be hand delivered by the pope riding a golden chariot.

Maybe I missed that part, but I didn't see anything about that. It is priced at $220,000 and he says that is below replacement cost. With a hand built rifle with that much engraving it probably takes 2-3 years to build. I'd not be surprised if he is right. I looked up the price of ammo and at about $7 per round I couldn't afford to shoot it.

My jaw dropped off my face when I saw the price of that rifle.

I found ammo for the .500 Nitro Express side, (only $200 for a box of 20)

I wonder how the other half lives?

Ah Holland and Holland. The epitome of elitist.

That's about right for that gun, although CSMC has a little wiggle room on the price.

Ivo Fabbri makes a shotgun from titanium that goes for 225,000
Peter Hofer and Philip Ollendorf can make some custom rifles that can go over $600,000 by the time they are engraved

If you have it, might as well buy the best

Now that's the first time I've ever heard of a double barreled rifle. That's the new fact of the day for me.

SERIOUSLY?? And you're in the UK? H&H has been making guns and rifles for 200 years. Their DG rifles, both bolt and doubles, are famous for their quality and reliability

It's just too nice to use. I really couldn't see shooting that dirty old bullet out of that piece of jewelry.

If I had that kind of discretionary money... You bet.
Its a work of art that I would probably still scratch up on the mesquite brush...

Seems, sadly, like the young'uns here, you need to study some history...... ;)

H&H is one of your country's best gun and rifle maker, along with Purdey and Boss.....and from a northern cousin, the Dickson's and MacNaughton's from Scotland

Can you imagine if the <removed> here in the US do to us what they did to England, and our kids didn't know what Remington, Winchester, Colt, Browning meant to our history?
