I'd like to see firearms mufflers become legal for anyone to use.. Would make it possible for me to sleep in on opening day of deer season.

It makes sense as any other sporting device is required by law to have a muffler.

What do I think should be next? Nationwide reciprocity.

Open the nfa machinegun registry.

I think it best to leave machineguns in their current place for now... Eliminating the outdated barrel length laws could be useful to smaller framed people. My wife has a hard time balancing out a 18inch+ shotgun barrel and ends up not being able to enjoy shooting sports as a result.

Canada is allowing them now. Odds are they can be used for a base for claiming its not a safety problem at this time.

Machine guns are a fight you can't win at this time. If laws get rolled back one at a time, maybe.

I would even settle for a policy that allows the registry to be revisited from time to time.

Yeah one repealed law at a time is a great idea. First reopen the registry then eventually dissolve the registry all together.

What bugs me is that no politicians are being honest about how to "prevent mass shootings". With only 2 since 1950 that occurred outside "gun-free" killzones, why aren't any of the politicians "on our side" pushing for banning killzones?

Nationwide CCW reciprocity should be a goal of the NRA and other 2nd Amendment rights organizations It might require national standards to receive your CPL, but could be worth the outcome. Just a thought.

Would getting a federal permit count as registration for gun owners? I'd much rather see nationwide Constitutional carry, although I know that is a long shot.
