What pistol do you like to shoot that it seems only you have?

Walther P88...nobody around here shoots one. I guess they are either rare, or common and sitting in safes.

2 Colt Double Eagles. One 10mm has adjustable sights, the other is 2 tone 40S&W and 10mm. Never seen another like either.

sideshooter, post # 34. I also have a Beretta 1934 I take to the range once in awhile, every time I take it, I hardly get a chance to shoot it. Superb pistol, never falters either!

It would seem that there's at least some doubt to that. I find that IMHO My P7s trigger is better than the P99AS I shot. It's crisper, lighter, has less take up and a lot shorter reset.

There is no doubt involved. Mind you that a new P99 needs a good 200-500 rounds for the trigger to break in buttery smooth, and there is no such thing as a new P7 anymore. The single-action reset of a P99AS is almost non-existent.

Bottom line is that both have great triggers.

I guess right now for me would be my Bersa UC9. Definitely not rare but don't know anyone else with one. Also a Walther P38.

Astra A60

My Astra A60. It's a great shooter and nice looking, too. I carried it for about 15 years and shot many rounds with never a single problem....none ....zero.

When I had my P229 converted to 357 SIG, it was a rare animal. I've never seen anybody shoot one. It makes people curious or angry about the noise.

I get some odd looks when I bring the FN 5.7, the P64, and the Raging Bull in 454Casull to the range.

While these are not rare, I very seldom see them at the range of know of people that own them.

My King Cobra and my Russian Makarov. I know there are quite a few of both out there, but I never seem to see any others at the range.

1985 MKI "Stainless" Magna Port in .357 MAG wearing Millets. Shoots full-tilt Magnums with the recoil of a 9mm. Though often mislabeled as stainless, it's actually a case stainless frame with a nickel plated slide and barrel, at least according to Magnum Research. This model is noticeably more slender than the contemporary DE pistols.

Whenever I see somebody shooting an Eagle, it's always a bright, flashy 50AE. People are usually very curious to see this gun in action. Loud noise, mediocre flash, minimal recoil, and a long piece of brass flying out. It's an absolute joy to shoot.

Astra A-75. Small size for the time it was made, 6.5" long. Charmingly old-fashioned as a 'compact' these days. All steel at 31 oz, and a substantial hunk of metal compared to today's plastic guns.

IZH-35M. Never seen another one at the range.



Pardini SP and Pardini GT45. Again, never ran into another Pardini shooter.

I know that they are out there, but I have never seen another Whitney Wolverine at the range.

I ask only because I've read where some company is making (or planning to make) a rendition of the Wolverine and I'm curious as to any differences the new version might have as compared to the original.
I've always thought that the ugly (to my subjective eyes) Beretta Neo is a mere pretender to the Whitney throne, at least in terms of the futuristic apperance each company meant to project.

My S&W 3953. The guy in the LGS told me I was crazy for carrying and shooting a 20 year old gun that parts are no longer made for !

Yes I do own one. I had always wanted one as a companion piece to my Nylon 66. Both are kind of Art Deco guns.

I have no experience with the (new) Olympic Wolverine, just the originial Whitney. They are surprisingly accurate.

While my Colt Python always attracts attention, the one gun I shoot regularly that everyone seems drawn to is a 625 .45 colt mountain gun.
I seem to be the only guy shooting one of these in our area.
Don't know if it's the gun or the humongous cartridge. One guy said I could put a half dozen nine's in that case.

I'm with boricua9mm, I don't see too many Desert Eagles at the range. I love playing with that pistol and when that .50 AE goes off people always come down to ask about it.
