What have you done in the last few days, plinking and such. I just decided I'd shoot a penny today at around 25yards, its not a difficult shot but I was curious what a .22lr would do and thought id share my results. I had it taped to a standard deck board that I use as a target holder. I have some ideas like shooting out the center of an olive and maybe trying to shoot out the center of a cigarette filter. maybe a large strike anywhere match? If you dont mind post some of your more creative ideas for plinking targets.

I had the 10/22t out this weekend, was shooting fired shotgun hulls off of branches at 100 yards.

Had to respond when I saw that penny pic. BTW, the old all copper pennies are a good deal tougher than the clad aluminum ones. When I was a kid, dad showed me one he'd shot through (more or less), and I asked him how he did it. He said he just tossed it up and shot it! My eyes wide open, I said REALLY - REALLY? C'mon, really?? He finally admitted he'd taped it to a board! "So you threw the board up in the air?? - "No, the board was on a fence..." Even so, as a 12 yr old, I was mightily impressed!
I have fun sometimes just setting clay pigeons out in the dirt at 200 yrds. It's fun to judge the hold-over on those shots!

I'll have to give the old copper pennies a shot just to see what itll do. Hmm thought of a new one, shooting through the opening on a soda tab.

Rimfire Plinkin'

I have a 6" diameter steel plate hanging up at 100 yards. Love to plunk my butt on the ground and run a tube or two of 22 lr through my 39A just to hear the clang it makes. I don't hit 'em all, but I hit my fair share.
:)

As a kid I use to shoot pencils, match sticks, blades of grass and and anything safe I could get a bead on. Thank goodness for good parents and the milk carton looking 5,000 packs of BBs. Good times.

Dum-dum suckers are fun. Drill a row of small holes in a 2x4. Then stand the suckers up. One in each hole.
