What's your "never buy" gun?

Why people start these grudge match threads is beyond me. Maybe the best pistol I own is a Taurus for example. It's never failed to do anything it's supposed to do through many thousands of rounds. It's super accurate and it holds way more rounds than would seem possible for it's size. And it has a lifetime warranty. What more could anyone possibly want in a pistol? Remember I have a Sig P220, a XDm, and a S&W 629 not to mention a Taurus LCP. I like the Taurus better than any of them.

I would never buy a 10/22. There are just too many people hurling heaps of hype on it. It's not the "best firearm ever made" as some would have us think.

That should stoke the flames real well around here. Oh goody. What fun.

UPDATE:
OK you'll notice I was brain dead in my post and called an LCP a Taurus. It's a Ruger and a fine one at that. Ruger actually makes fine weapons. I just don't think a 10/22 is the best weapon ever made and too many people do. Anyway - ooops! That's a Ruger LCP I have.

That's easy 4 me. A Browning High Power. After spending $900 for a New gun, u must do several things to her before she "feels right" get real! life is too short.

Taurus. Bought a model 85 revolver and a 1911, neither of which worked out of the box. Both went back for repairs. Couldn't trust them and sold both.

Have owned or still have Sig, Ruger, Smith and Wesson, Springfield, Kimber, Browning, Kahr, and Glock products. Never had to ship any of them back for repairs.

If someone gave me a Taurus, I'd take it to the nearest gun buy back program.

I have to agree with Taurus and I'm going to say any cheap gun, you get what you pay for. I can understand why I see Autoloaders on this thread. But not a remmy 700, I can't imagine unless one killed his dog.

My never buy guns because I think they are junk:
Diamondback
Chiappa
Taurus
Charter Arms
Hi Point
Anything made by Umarex and rebranded
Rossi
Pot metal guns (Walther P22's and the like)

My never buy guns because I think they are ugly or useless:
HK Mk23
Desert Eagle
PGO shotguns
KelTec PLR16
Any AR style "pistol"
Any AK style "pistol"
Serbu "Super Shorty"

A second imitation M-1 Carbine by Auto Ordnance. The first was brand-new, from "Guns And Ammo" in Memphis.

It was treated with care and the bolt became stuck, as in jammed, after only about 200 rds. of US factory ammo from Bass Pro. The same price (late '07) could have bought a nice Authentic carbine, had I considered a search for one.......no homework, none at all.

After it was shipped back to the factory, I finally noticed that the bolt in the GI versions felt more rugged. My very used Mini 14, 30 and SKS never had a stuck bolt: during 2,000-4,000 rds. in each gun. Both Ruger and "Commie Quality";) are far superior.

I'm going to list two (2) and for very different reasons.

1- Taurus, I have one that has been an excellent revolver, but I've heard to many horror stories about Taurus's spotty quality and their lack of customer NO service.

2- Colt python, never owned one and I have no desire to based on price alone, no matter how well belt they were. I can't justify spending $1,500.00 ++ for a tool, which all firearms are to me.

Old Bear,

Taurus revolver I bought one, the only gun I had to get rid of. I did sent it to Fla.for repair they sent it back unrepaired.Never say never if you didn't have to pay a premium for a Python, would you own one? I would and I do. Taurus unless it was a good shooting 17HMR,maybe. Rather have it in a Smith.
