M1 Garand vs Motorcycle

What exactly are you looking for in a Garand?
The CMP Service Grade is going to be as-issued, especially to troops in Korea, after WWII Garands were re-arsenaled. I would argue virtually no WWII era M1 Garands escaped re-arsenaling and are still in the condition they were when they went ashore at Normandy or Anzio or wherever. People can put together "correct grade" WWII rifles, but they have to assemble all the pieces themselves by scrounging correctly dated parts from re-arsenaled rifles and mating them to a correct era receiver. Hard to do. Expensive. And still not 'original'.
Best advice I can give you - order a CMP Springfield Armory Service Grade for $625 while you still can.

Attach a note to your order politely requesting a serial number under 2.7 million (WWII era receiver) if possible and a GI stock. A donation to the CMP probably can't hurt.
You will not receive a 'correct grade' rifle. What you will probably get is a post-WWII SA M1 Garand in an original GI issue stock, rebuilt by the U.S. Army following Korea. It will be mechanically sound, likely be better than advertised with respect to muzzle and throat wear, and a classic piece of history. You can't really go wrong.
Spend the rest of the $1000 on the CMP's $0.50/rd HXP surplus ammo (cheapest you'll find), en-bloc clips, a good sling and go enjoy!
For $950, you can get an HRA Service Grade Special - basically all-original HRA metal with a new production stock. Just buy an original GI stock and it will be as it was when it rolled off the line in 1950something.

Well...what are your priorities? And what is your current situation? Do you have a car?
When I was 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19...and on up to about 45 or so, motorcycles were my primary focus.
And in many ways, they still are. I have owned 80 or so bikes in my life (57 years young). I currently own five bikes, three of which are running and one more that has run and will again soon.
I own more guns than motorcycles, but have far more money tied up in bikes than in guns.
I shoot once a week or so, but I ride every day of my life, and have for many years...and don't plan on that changing until I am no longer able to do so.
If I was told today that I had to give up one or the other, that would be the toughest decision of my life, and I honestly don't know which way it would go.
If I were 16 or so, and did not have a car, transportation would be a far bigger priority to me than gun ownership. A motorcycle is (for me) the ultimate expression of personal freedom, although that will annoy many 2A people.
These days, I have the luxury of both. You may not.
With wheels, you can provide for yourself, and become a productive member of society. You can have a job, date girls, experience life. When you have a job, you can pay your bills, buy guns, etc.
Good luck with your decision.

Spend it on whatever helps you get off your parents payroll the fastest.
I agree on so many levels.
Garands are finite (a lot, but still finite).
Motorcycles will always be made.

Motorcycle vs Garand? Garand by miles. Awesome, and much, much cheaper than the bike. The bike is cool, but dangerous and pricey.
Honestly though, I'd recommend getting a huge load of handgun ammo and going to a real defensive handgun class if you have that kind of money available. And getting some 5.56 ammo and mags before the next panic. A real defensive handgun class, maybe with a spot on retention or open hand combatives, would give you a huge edge in life, and the Academy.

Top right. Plug in 1000 for current value. 12 annual rate. 1 compounding period a year. (put in 12 if you think you will ave 1% a month ave - it gets A LOT more than 93,000). put in term of 40 years. Hit calculate.....
Then go put your money in a mutual fund.

I wish I had another M-1 carbine. I REALLY wish I had bought one 15 years ago when they were selling for less than HALF of what they are selling for now.
