I have always attempted to keep everything related to firearms and the right to keep and bear arms. Recently I have posted things that for lack of better terms have been off in left field. I have been out of the hospital for just over a week and posted one thing that lead to a member making comment that my comments were "Slurred" as they were. After a discussion with doctor I am now required to keep O2 hooked to me at all times, guess too many cigarettes, welding and other things over the last 50yrs that have began to ketch up with me. So I just wanted to approach each and everyone that I am so sorry that I didn't realize that I have been oxygen deprived to a degree and that has made my comments slurred. If I had been driving an officer would most likely put me in the back seat of his patrol car. Long story short until I gain control I will make all efforts to keep any comments short and to the point and not embarrass myself or THR members.

Oh, like I haven't screwed up, too.

All those who haven't upgefricked, please raise your hands...

Anyone?

<pause>

.... No hands. I thought so.

May your recovery = fast!

Take good care of yourself. It was good of you to post what the situation is.

Now I know what MY problem is! Hahaha...

Seriously; imagine how much better internet message board forums might be if everyone stopped once in awhile and considered their keyboard personalities in the manner of our gentleman O.P. I often! fail at this.

My hat is off to you, sir.

:)

Don't worry about it.. most of us had figured out what was going on, anyway. Another member let us know you had PM'd him to let us know you were still around.

I'm glad you got the help needed for your own well being.

It takes a very level headed person to apologise and a pretty big one to do it in the open like this.

Good luck and let's hope you improve.

^^

All of this. Well done, and well said. Hope you recover well and find calm winds and fair seas ahead.

Don't worry about it. We all get wrist slapped, I know I certainly do, although I think it's good for us to express our opinions occasionally, even if they do offend some people.
Like the saying goes:
If a conservative doesn't like something, he doesn't go or view it,
If a liberal doesn't like something, he tries to get a law passed stopping everyone from doing it.

Differences of opinion are good for all of us. Don't worry about it and no need to apologize. Now, suck up that oxygen, feel better and make your snide comments fully aware of your faculties!

Best of luck to you, hope you feel better soon....

Here's to a speedy recovery and many more bullets sent downrange on your part!

Im sure I posted some off the wall stuff in the past. After my accident I was drugged up for 2 years with the last 8 months being Fentanyl. Thats a 8 month memory lapse ill never get back!

Man. I once made a mistake.

It was embarrassing.

Glad it only ever happened once.*:p

* That statement is absolutely true and verifiable so long as you don't ask my wife.

Believe me when I say that I completely sympathize. I'm probably the world's worst at this and have been "reminded" many times to stay on-topic. My issue is different but is also difficult to deal with. I try but fail far too often. It's a good thing folks here and the mods are as kind and forgiving as they are.

It takes a big man to admit a problem and yours was certainly of the most innocent kind.
Take care of yourself from this moment and do not let small worries overcome you.

We have all,at one time or another, been in your shoes. The issues may have been different, but we all go through difficulties in this thing called life. Everyone here is pulling hard for you.

You'll overcome it all and be back at the wheel before you know it. :)

Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

It can be very difficult to sit still and take it easy, but patience now may well pay off later. Take care.

Best wishes for recovery.

My concern at the moment is that I don't have oxygen-deprivation, or any other reason, to explain any aberrant behavior I might exhibit. :)

Ok, have made it a few days without going nuts (well that's up for debate). Thanks to all for understanding and all the well wishes. Today after another battle with all these darn drugs the doctors think I need I actually made it out back to test fire a carbine. Didn't have the getup and go to walk so I just threw a few things in the SUV and drove to back 40. Again I see I have a long way to go because just standing and trying to fire the carbine almost kicked my tail, but kneeling it worked fairly decent. Then after I came back in the house I got caught by the wife for not taking a bottle of O2 with me but I am not afraid of my wife , not in public anyway, guess between the drugs, 02 and other junk I got a lot of relearning ahead. Still fighting the urge to pile three weeks of text in one paragraph so just over look and figure that old man is at it again. But again Thank each and everyone for the good thoughts.
