What do you call the plastic 'holders' in a factor box of ammo? I can't keep my reloads on the shelf and I'm running out of factory 'holders'. I've found a good supplier to make boxes but have had no luck in were to find a dealer that sells what to put the finished rounds in.

In the interim, until you can find something (I would just call them "dividers") to go in your boxes, a good solution might be to just put the ammo in a Ziploc bag. All my ammo, except shotgun, is stored in Ziploc bags. They're much more airtight than boxes, keep ammo shinier longer.

You can buy various storage methods from the usual suspects. There are thin paperboard boxes with Styrofoam inserts for rows of rounds. Or there are the MTM/Frankfort Arsenal boxes that are all rigid plastic of various types. Just go to Midway USA or Natchez Shooters Supplies and search for ammo boxes----lots of options.

Me I use quart Zip-Loc freezer bags inside of USGI surplus ammo cans.:D

I thought they were called trash. Every range I go to has trash cans full of them....FWIW, I also vote for ziplock bags.

I used to use the WIN boxes of 50, that had the styrofoam inserts. Like above, these were available in large quantities at the range trash bin. I still have 30-40 left, I use for test and one-off loads every now and again

I thank you for the replies but I think my post might have been misunderstood . I'm looking for a bulk purchase of 'dividers' ... something you can put on the shelf for sale. I've already found who can make the box for me ... now I just need to find the plastic

Gee. Mine are all in plastic one pound Folger's coffee containers with tightly fitting tops. They stay pretty shiney and safe.

From the ATF website...
Q:Is a person who reloads ammunition required to be licensed as a manufacturer?

Yes, if the person engages in the business of selling or distributing reloads for the purpose of livelihood and profit. No, if the person reloads only for personal use.

I'm not trying to stick my nose in your business, but you need to give some thought to the following questions.

Do you have a manufacturers license?

Assuming that you do, is your business insured AS an ammunition manufacturer?

If the answer to either of the above questions is "no", it appears as though you may be standing on some very shaky legal and financial ground.

I understand what your looking for are the tray which go inside the individual boxes for ammo to be stored in. As mentioned you can pick them up from Midway in either paper or styrofoam, or you can look elsewhere at some of the reloading supply places, and one other place to try that I know has the plastic ones and boxes is Topbrass Reloading Supplies They have both the boxes and the inserts/trays as well.

Hope that helps.

41 ... Thanks !!! That's exactly what I was looking for !!!

Swamp ... Yes to all your questions
