Just got this Ruger Stainless ROA today. Been wanting one of these for a while now, and decided this would make a good companion to my Belgian 1860.

Great gun! I am sure you will love it. I had one for a long time but lost it in a divorce. Hope to get another one day. They are not as finiky as the other cap n ball guns. Pretty much dont need anything except maybe a little trigger work. You used to could get a trigger spring kit that usually was all they needed to make them right but not sure they are still available. Sometimes the back sight wont adjust low enough too but there are fixes for that, a taller front sight blade but hopefully yours will be good to go the way it is. A nice thing about the stainless is that if it gets a few scratches you can touch it up easy with a little scotch brite pad. Let us know what you think of it after you give it a work out.

Anybody know what the Max charge of Pyrodex is? All the Manuel says whatever the cylinder will hold. I'm thinking maybe 45gr?

I just wish words could express my feelings about how mch fun I expect you'll have with your new baby. I have three SS 7.5 inch adj sight models myself, Look at the Ruger Old Army Club here if you haven't already for many beautiful pictures of others. Don
