My boss has a Winchester 1894 30WCF made in 1906. It was his grandpa's.
 
It's un-American to not own a '94. This one has tales to tell, and you need to add your own.

Un-cock the hammer while it is hanging on pegs on the wall.

And don't snap the hammer on an empty chamber to in-cock it, or you will sooner or later need to replace a broken firing pin!

Very nice. Looks well used and well cared for.

I'm willing to bet the three notches are deer. We're used to them being relatively plentiful. Wasn't always the case.
