Alright guys why I am amazed by big bore AR's I have no idea I know I want one so please post pics of your thumper AR
Love some of these new 6.8 SPC based options coming out. This sounds like a good option. Not a Big Bore Thumper but a Med-Bore Thumper. 6.8 Case necked up to .358 I designed this back in 2008 and is a Thumper that shoots .352" 5 shot groups at 100 yards. 200gr Hornady FTX @ 2132fps out of a 16.5" barrel
Check out the post here.

Nice reference. Wonder how many won't catch it though.I plan to build 6.5 Grendel and .458 SOCOM uppers after I finish my SDM-R. If I were to get a .50 Beowulf I'd be afraid I would find my gun safe ajar one morning with the Beowulf all scratched up and no trace of the Grendel except for a broken off charging handle laying just inside the door.

Good grief!! 10 posts and only two actual BIG BORE ARs ...
...don't know why people are posting 6.5 and 308's. Big Bore starts at .375 so im not to far off. LOL
