Most aesthetically pleasing handgun in each caliber

I understand your point, Kodiak, but aren't we already neck deep in "political correctness." It would just be nice if an otherwise innocuous poster wouldn't have to worry about that.

Again, I certainly do understand your concern.

Glock, Hipoint, Super Redhawk.

Dude, the Super Redhawk is as ugly as a mud fence. The regular Redhawk, on the other hand....

Very, very sexy.

Best looking handguns:

22lr – S&W K-22 blue 6" barrel. I think the 22 and revolvers are a natural fit. After all, 22LR revolvers look like real service weapons, not goofy space guns.

380 – Beretta Cheetah. Rewatch the opening scenes of Matrix #1 to see what I mean.

9mm – Sig P226. Straight lines, sharp edges, austere beauty

40 sw - ???

38 spl – S&W Model 15 blue 4" barrel. Named to this list because it looks like the next one on the list...

357 mag – S&W Model 19 blue 4" barrel. The best looking gun out there in my opinion. This is the archetype, the picture that pops into my head when i hear the word "gun"

45 acp – Sig P220 two-tone nickel slide. Same appeal as the P226, but a bit flashier.

Fill in the blank - Ruger Redhawk 5" barrel. The proportions are perfect for a big bore revolver.

Yep, that's why I said carry on and have fun. My first post summed up was "No guns are "sexy" and I think it's silly to use that term.". Someone asked why it matters, so my second post explained why I felt that way. It's JMO though. But, it's a thread about guns, not the philosophy of talking about guns, so I'll be quiet now.

I have a Python, a Model-17, and a T/C Contender. They look good but more importantly, they shoot good. If they didn't, they'd be gone. Never heard of anyone's a$$ being saved by a fashion statement.

22lr Colt Woodsman
380 Mauser HSc
9mm Jehricho (aka Baby Eagle II these days)
40 sw Bren 10 (in .40 "long" :neener: )
38 spl S&W Model 10, 4", Pencil barrel
357 mag S&W Model 28
45 acp S&W Model 25
Fill-in-the-blank S&W Model 625, .45 Colt Mountain Gun

While I don't find guns sexy per say I most definitely find some more visually appealing than others. And this thread is seriously lacking in gun porn so here you go.
unfortunately had to pull these from google as I can't take decent pictures at all and I don't have all of my favorites yet.

My list is

22: M Frame Smith and Wesson

380: Beretta 84

22lr - 1911
380 - no comment
9mm - Browning Hi Power
40 sw - Browning Hi Power
38 spl - Smith & Wesson Model 10
357 mag - Smith & Wesson Model 19-4 4" preferred
45 acp - 1911 - I have no real brand loyalty, any can look real real nice.
44 Mag - Ruger Super Blackhawk

I can't disagree with any choice here.

I do think the BHP is what a full size 9mm should look like.
However, for some reason, I really like how the Kimber Solo looks. I'm not crazy about it as a gun (yet) but the looks is what got me to buy it.

In .45ACP, the subtle lines of a Wilson Combat makes it a looker. However, the deep blue high polish finish on a Colt 1911 is breathtaking.

I also think the Browning BDA is a handsome gun as well.

To me, a M29-6" S&W is what a revolver should look like.

I second the Whitney Wolverine for 'sexiest' .22LR pistol. I wanted one since high school in the 70's, finally got one about 25 years later.
Favorite 9mm - the P08 Luger. Not the most reliable pistol, but so very beautiful a design.
Favorite .357Magnum - the six inch Colt Python. Always lusted for one since the Starsky & Hutch days.
Favorite .45ACP - the Colt M1911A1.
Other - I love the old Automag pistol, the original graceful Harry Sanford design, NOT the later 1911-derived abominations.

22lr
380
9mm
40 sw
38 spl
357 mag
45 acp
Fill-in-the-blank

S&W 41;
Colt Government 380 stainless;
Browning HP35 Silver Chrome;
HK P7M10;
Colt Cobra;
Manurhin MR73;
Colt Gold Cup Trophy National Match blued;
Luger P-08 American Eagle.

.22lr - Freedom Arms
.380 - SIG P232
9mm - Mauser C96 (so clunky-cool it's gorgeous - Han Solo had taste)
.40 - Pick a S&W revolver chambered in it
.45 - Same, or the Colt 1917
.38 - S&W model 15
.357 - Python
.44Mag - Redhawk

blackpowder - 1858 Remington is the prettiest on my list.

The Super Redhawk Alaskans are good looking guns. I just wish they would flute the cylinders.

Pretty much any gun made of steel and real wood is _______(insert proper descriptive word) to me. "Sexy" works for me though I seldom use the word. I couldn't begin to list the ones I really love in each caliber but old Colts and S&W revolvers lead the way in several categories. In the semi guns I would say that Browning has an edge as I love my Buckmark and my HP. I love my Trooper and am working on a Python right now. In the larger calibers I would say some of the Rugers are at the top of the list.
I always pull out the steel guns to show kids. Last night I had a 10 year old over with his family and he wanted to see my guns. He was expecting me to pull out all the AK's and AR's and Glocks (I don't own a Glock) but he got interested real fast when I started pulling out 100+ year old revolvers and WWII era guns. Japanese and Russian revolvers, S&W .32-20 and .32 Long, "cowboy" revolvers were all fondled more than the more modern semi's.

People keep mentioning the Beretta 84 Cheetah, but the one they made for Browning, the BDA-380 was much prettier....

You realize, of course, that you're asking for opinions. And you know what they say about opinions. :rolleyes:

I would suggest looking them over, yourself, and making up your own mind.

I don't have time to hit this in detail for each category (wish I did!), but I really like the look and lines of the Ruger LCP for your .380.

For the .45, I'd say split the difference between a classic and modern 1911. Definitely no rail, only rear slide serrations, beavertail, and a bobbed grip. For me, it's a Dan Wesson VBob that captures the essence of 1911 aesthetics perfection.

22lr-Ruger Standard
380-Colt Mustang
9mm - BHP
40 S&W- BHP
38 spl-S&W mod 10
357 mag- Colt Python
45 acp-Colt Gold Cup

For a .22 - a Whitney Wolverine!
