So it begins powder coating first try

Has anyone thought about or determined whether the PC makes things more abrasive and accelerates wear?

I have run thousands of these through my barrel. The only thing I have noticed is a nice shiny mirror.

This idea is far from new. People in countries where bare lead bullets have been banned like Australia have been doing it for a long time.

I have loaded up a few so far and I am really liking how easy it is the test bed for this experiment is my new model 69 44 magnum that only has the test factory loads through its barrel

Anyone have a good way to 100% remove alox from bullets? I was thinking swirl em in a little gas and then some denatured alcohol. I found a great load using a little 105gr 380 boolit in a 38spl with an unpublished load of 700x. Coincidentally the same load I use for my 230gr cast 45.

I put mine in a #10 steel can with some soapy water and boiled them outside for about 5 minutes. Then I dumped the water and did it again. They powder coated up perfect.

FWIW - I found this today at the local Dollar Tree store for $1. I've been wondering how I was going to get rifle bullets to stand up for spraying and baking, and this looks perfect. There's 127 holes in the tray.

I'll just drill the holes out large enough for the gas check shoulder on the bullets to fit in, put the bullets in the holes, spray 'em and bake 'em right in the tray. Oughta work just dandy. Oh, I use an old kitchen oven, I doubt these will fit in a toaster oven.
