Double diamond cocobolo from Herret's here in Idaho.
Worth the drive to pick them up/priced lower than most, with top notch quality!

The wife's daily carry. VZ G-10 Gator Back Posey Pink: (What can I say? She wanted it "feminine")

I accused her shrinking a perfectly good Sig 1911 when she washed it. :D

G-10 sure works for me, and VZ sure puts out a good product.

I absolutely enjoy the Magpul grips. They are one of the few options that allow my hand to reach the mag release without breaking my grip. They aren't the most asthetically pleasing, but they function outstandingly. VZ would be a nicer looking option, but at $15-$20 locally for the Magpul options, I find it easy to buy them for all of my 1911's. I find them to have enough grip to hold well, though I haven't shot them either wet or excessively sweating either. For me they are a great buy.

I have to say +1 on the Magpul's. The grip is excellent, they are very thin and the function is perfect.

I have so many different grips for the 1911 I could never show them all. (Because I change them out for their appearance the way a woman changes shoes. :-} ) That being said, some of the coolest looking grips are horrible for shooting and make my hands feel like I'm shooting a Rasp file and not a handgun. At my qualification shoot I always show up with the finger groove Hogue rubber wrap around grip. The absolute best grip for me, by far. I always shoot my best with those on the gun. Not pretty but very functional. After qualification, the Pearl grips usually go back on!
