Ruger SP101 (357 2 1/4") Every day for years.
At 25 yards it will shoot under a 3 inch group with a two hand hold, unsupported.
Good gun!

I am thinking of getting an LCR though. As I get older the lighter weight of the LCR is appealing.

Revolvers are easier to get into action,
no safety to mess with,
easy to give second gun to friendly with no training,
simple to load and unload, cannot load rounds in backwards,
points naturally
grips easy to change if above is not happening
Easier to maintain (I did not say clean)
Easy to clear a failure to fire...just pull the trigger again


Top 4 Reasons:
1. Can fire when in contact with assailant
2. Can fire through a pocket
3. Revolvers are assumed to be reliable. All auto testing involves reliability testing. Fewer rounds to prove reliability in a revolver.
4. Can not fatally foul the grip. Bad grip on an auto will induce a jam...yes, even on a glock

CCW is preparing for the worst case scenario. As the law abiding citizen we are already behind in a deadly force encounter. This means we have to react to someone else causing harm. The snubby revolver gives a tactical advantage. Mind set, Skill set, Tactics, Equipment.
There is a reason snubby revolvers are so popular.

I have a Ruger LCP and love it. I use it for when I need to carry small like shorts or what not. I also have a Beretta Nano. It is damn accurate for its size but took a lil to get used to tho. I want to purchase a sig as well. I want a semi auto pocket carry with a hammer cuz I dont like the idea of my GF carrying locked and loaded with just a trigger safety or no safety, especially because it will live in her purse with who knows what else she crams in there at the time

I just bought a GLOCK 42 a couple of months ago and it is now my carry gun. 360 rounds of ball and hollow point without any ammo problems. It is light, accurate and powerful. What more could you ask for?

I carry a Kahr CM9 either pocket carry or OWB. Very comfortable either way and reliable. Smaller cash outlay than the PM9 with the same dimensions.

I've also tried a Kel-Tec P3AT and Glock 26. The Ruger holds fewer rounds, but more potent ones than the KT. The Glock I can manage "pretty" well, but the revolver is a easier-packing package.

Overall I was happy with my Kel-Tec. Only one jam with it, and I blame myself for having a weak hold. Recoil is pretty nasty with it, but it is tough to beat for concealability.

Also, practice your pocket draw (with an unloaded gun)! Better to come across nasty surprises in practice than on the streets - surprises like "the LCR is a nice, snag-free gun...except for that nice big tritium night sight..."

ETA: I should add that your body size will be a factor in what you can pocket carry. I'm not huge, but not at all small either. Put it this way - I owned one pair of pants that I could have managed to pocket carry a Glock 19 in, if I'd been inclined to find a holster....!

Gave the Lcp to the wife. Now it is kimber solo.

Sig p938 period..With a extended mag it still fits in your pocket and gives you 7+1 of 9mm. I haven't carried anything else since I bought mine. It's just too convenient. Factory night sights are awesome too.

Don't use pocket carry a whole lot (usually when I'm out mowing the lawn or washing the cars, in baggy cargo shorts), but yeah, the SIG 938 has now become my go-to lil' gun ... it has sadly replaced my S&W 442.

for the summer for sure...... like the sig 938 for isb carry... and maybe the naa 22mag. in the pocket....

I have an LC9 in.a generic "sticky" pocket holster that fits in most of my front pants pockets and a s&w 340 that I have a generic leather pocket holster for. (Never had the guts to shoot .357 I. It but .38 +P is very pleasant). Reloads in the opposite pocket along with keys, change, magnifier and so forth. I find neither are visible in cargo shorts or jeans, but I am "cut kind of full" so your mileage may vary.

Both work fine for pocket carry as they're DA with a good trigger pull and no real sharp edges. The Smith is a light finish so it's more likely to show if the edge of the grip sticks out, but I've never had an issue (that anyone's mentioned, anyway).

XDS .45 is my first choice. It's on the large end of the pocket carry spectrum, but it works most of the time. When I'm wearing pants or shorts with pockets too small for the XDS, I carry a P938. I have pocket holsters for both to address them printing, but haven't found a pocket holster that's been durable.

+1 on the Colt .25, Stageman. The only teeny tiny gun I'd ever consider.

Because it is an old Colt and is collectible, doesn't make it a good SD gun. It's still a .25 acp. It doesn't shoot any better than my .25 Bauer (SS copy of Baby Browning). That's why I'd carry the Bauer only in very limited situations.

The least I'd carry is a KelTec P-32, but I'm more comfortable with my J frame S&W Model 638 (in .38 Special + P) AirWeight BodyGuard in my pocket.
