If/when 452's become unavailable, that's probably the way I'm going to need to go if I want an CZ American, in .22lr. Unless I can find a deal on a 453.

Bore-sighting and zeroing can be such a pain, after each barrel swap.

I had scoped my CZ452 Special .22 with a rimfire scope which fit pretty well. But, when I had taken a good look at it after, I decided that I had enough scoped .22's and removed the scope. CZ's have great iron sights for a reason I guess.

Fellas;

I fully realize that many CZ455 owners will change barrels. However, I'll also maintain that most won't. YMMV.

Well, I guess for all those folks that don't swap barrels, the capability ins't a buying point, but for those of us that do... it is. It pretty much boils down to that.

In my opinion, the platform stands on its own without the barrel swapping ability, but if you want to swap barrels, the ability is obviously a plus, it comes down to the individual. And since it comes down to the individual, I try to bring it up whenever someone starts a thread about possibly buying a 455.

I have never swapped the barrel on my 455. It came with a 22LR and 22WMR, with the 22LR installed from the factory. I bought it to shoot 22LR and have no plans to ever swap. I don't shoot 22WMR and have very little on hand. If I want more punch from a rimfire, I use my Savage 93R17.

So, count me in the "most".
