So..I bought a DeSantis Speed scabbard for my CZ RAMI. Perfect fit except...Before I bought it I asked the seller, is it the type where you have to slide a belt through or a clip on. He told me it was clip on. It wasn't. Its the belt slide through. Ugg.

I can return it but I like the fit. Is there an easy way to add a clip or paddle ? Picture below

NOt a collector

I try not to be a "collector" of things I cant use. While I could use it just to hold the gun in a glovebox, I could do that with a towel. The purpose is to be held and if needed, clipped on quickly.

I found what I needed since it seems that modification is not an easy task after the fact...

Clips and paddles do nothing for weapon retention. I have seen both fail when the wearer was involved in strenuous physical activity. A belt through is better. I am a big fan of the Speed Scabbard and have one for each gun I normally carry.

Only idea I have is to drill the belt tunnel for a Blade-Tech Tek-Loc, but that would leave the gun likely rather loose to the belt; the combination of the Tek-Loc AND the belt tunnel would be a bit much, IMHO.

No worries...its done

Cannibalized another holster to get the hardware and the paddle. Came out awesome. Where the belt goes, I used a piece of unbreakable plastic (a parts box separator) cut to size. All came together and worked perfect as a paddle holster. It can be done, just needs some creative thought.

"...piece of unbreakable plastic..." HAHAHAHAHA!!! Nothing is unbreakable. How far does it stick out? Just curious.

No gaps

Sits like any other paddle holster. Rides nice. I tend to have a sweater and denim jacket (what can I say I am old school...lol) when I carry so unless I sweep the jacket back, its pretty inconspicuous ..a LEO friend of mine says I should patent the conversion...pretty slick and works 100% ..no slop
