.35rem Ammo in stock?

Two years ago I bought an old 336 in 35 Remington and I couldn't find any ammo on shelves in the Denver area. I ordered and back ordered from several online sources and eventually started to get some. I think some manufacturers do their yearly run of that caliber all at once, so it is available in bunches for a brief period. I kept ordering until I got enough to last me, probably for the life of that rifle.

Salmoneye per your theory I bf's a buddy in Pa to grab a couple boxes for me, he replied its readily available there.

Never heard of 40-60... How rare is that ammo? I have a 45-70.

There are several Bi-Marts in Eugene, Oregon, but for some reason only the one on 18th and Chambers consistently has Hornady LeveRevolution .35Rem.

They put out two boxes at a time, and every time I was in that part of town, I'd grab some. The only reason I'm giving up my top secret .35Rem source is that I moved out of Eugene. Last time I was there was about a month ago visiting friends, and sure enough I picked up two boxes.

Best of luck… gotta stock up on the stuff when you find it.

Edit: And save your brass… I don't reload, but if any rifle I own will drive me to it, it'll be my 336/35 Remington.

This question comes up a lot of forums. About the difficulty in finding certain ammo.

As you didn`t say where you live it`s hard to advise . Go on line, plenty to be had. Course there is an age requirement to buy ammo.

Seems to me the real problem was poor planning on your part. Nothing like waiting till the 12 hour to wake up. :)
I beg to disagree. I just now double-checked on AmmoSeek and there is no 35 Rem. I have been checking there for several months, but was forced to switch over to my Marlin 32 Special.

Bragging to a coworker that I could find just about any ammunition using a computer with Internet connection within 5 minutes, I was forced to eat crow.
The only load I could find in stock was selling for $60/20.

I could have sworn just a couple years ago this stuff was easy to find. Maybe not exactly plentiful, but available.

It was easy to find, but since I only used it for hunting one box of ammo would go a LONG WAYS. At least I was clever enough to get dies & components, so I'm not totally left out!

It would be a real shame if the .35 Rem died a quiet death. It's kind of an underrated hidden gem.

With the current demand for any and all ammo anyone can produce out there, I don't see it happening soon...

However the Freedom Group purchase of Marlin (and subsequent putting on hold of the 336 in .35 Rem) was not a benefit to the cartridge...

I do hope the 336 (and all the other Marlin models) soon return to their former glory.

It would also be nice if there were a few more options chambered in the round. A modern semi-auto in 35 Rem would rock. I'm thinking a scaled up Mini-30. The mini-35?

Even a short barrel pseudo scout bolt action in the round would be interesting.

I sincerely hope Remington get's it's 'Marlin' line back up to snuff...

They seem to have done pretty well with the 336 in .30-30, and 1895 in .45-70, but they still need to work on the 1894 line, and the 'off' calibers...

Getting better, but still a pale shadow of what the line was even 10 years ago...

ah I have been looking online for more than 2 weeks for .35 rem 200 gr. corelocked.
maybe I need a different internet
A lot of guys that say you have to plan ahead are usually 70-75 years old and have enough ammo for 150 years lol
