I have begun my foray into 3D printing gun parts! My first part was a M92 handguard with an AFG built into it. Even though I have not tested it yet (I'm curious to see if it breaks, and also to see how well it holds up to heat).

This part was printed out of ABS material, with a 10-25% fill (can't really remember). If it breaks (which honestly would not surprise me) I will be redoing it with a 100% fill to see how much better it holds up. Even though this part will see heat, I'm not to worried about in. The melting point of ABS is 221 degrees F. You'd burn your hand at that point!

If this does turn out to work...you will be seeing more projects (2 planned, for now).

Your barrel can get that hot, I suspect you will get melting. The shape looks good though.

Great for prototyping... 3D print the shape you like, then have it molded out of a polymer with better heat resistance.
