I already own 2...
I own a 10-year old Tac-65 (never cleaned... lol)
I also own a Gemtech M402 Piranha

I am shopping for a 22lr suppressor that is VERY, EASILY cleaned...

Gemtech told me I can use my M402 for 22lr and then clean it by firing .223 multiple times...

I would recommend the SilencerCo Sparrow if you want ultimate ease in cleaning. It doesn't get any easier than that and it performs quite well also so long as you don't mind the first round pop on pistols. A second can you might consider would be the SilencerCo Spectre II, also easy to clean as the baffles slide right out of the tube and can be cleaned separately in an ultrasonic cleaner or the dip.

This. I think everything else pretty much takes a backseat to these two. The fact they are both also top performers doesn't hurt.

I agree with the gentlemen above, I have a Sparrow SS, and it's been really easy to clean. I believe the Specter II has snap together SS baffles, and would also be easy to pull apart and toss in the dip, or a sonic cleaner.

I love my Sparrow SS. Just make sure you get the newer all-stainless version (been out a few years now) of you look at a used one.

Sparrow is going to be a little easier to clean, Specter II is apparently designed to minimize first round pop (which I've never really noticed with my Sparrow but I have noticed in larger pistol calibers).

I've been investigating a Dead Air Mask. I want a .22 suppressor that is made of stainless and titanium that will last several lifetimes with proper maintenance. Dead Air is a new company that has been started by 2 guys originally from SilencerCo...one of which is the designer that put SilencerCo on the map. After calling them, they said the Mask should begin to be distributed by late summer/early fall. If I get a decent refund, I'll save it for that suppressor.

I have no doubt that Mike Pappas and co will make great cans but I want to see the internals of the mask first.
No doubt. I'm nervous even considering buying a suppressor without getting hands on or at least hearing some reviews first. It will be a leap of faith for sure. What they told me about the baffles is that they are a new design...not "K" baffles or a monocore. I'm curious...

You should see if there are any shops in your area that can do demos for you. Or if no shops will demo perhaps a local club or forum has members that could demo what they have. I posted an ad on my local forum and found a guy who demoed his 9mm and 22lr can for me. Helped me allot to decide what to get.

Well, after more research and the result of a hole being burned in my pocket, I opted for a Tactical Solutions Axiom. I called and talked with a rep from SilencerShop and he said that most agree within the shop that the Axiom is the best .22 suppressor. Of course, opinions differ, but I was relieved to hear that after ordering one. Not many reviews out there, but none of the reviews I've read are negative.

While working at the local indoor range I applied a coating of Cerakote Microslick to the baffle system and sleeves of a Silencerco Sparrow. Made a world of difference in maintenance.

I have a Spectre II in NFA jail now. I was seriously considering the Sparrow but the Spectre was $50 less and is rated to be just as quiet. I have read nothing but good things about how easy it is to maintain.

Ive always heard Silencer Co Sparrow and its always been the most silent to me as well. Being that I dont own one, I can tell you how easy they are to clean, but I have shot with and been impressed by one.

I've got an original SWR Spectre, it has the "snap together" baffles like the newer model and it's fairly easy to clean, but not near as easy as a friends SS Sparrow.

It does seem a lot quieter on the first shot though.

I've got the sparrow and with it's sleeves around the baffle stack I don't think you can find an easier to clean rimfire suppressor.

I really like my Liberty Kodiak TL. Extremely easy to take down and the mono core goes right into the US cleaner. Very good sound on both pistol and rifle platforms.

Even with the G-CORE design of the newer Gemtechs?
The Sparrow is easier to disassemble than the GM-22 when dirty. The new G-Core design is just another screw-out monocore design like the older AAC Prodigy. And when they're really dirty (especially when the internals are caked with lead like .22 does) they can be a pain to take apart; at this point they require a tool and some elbow grease.

But the Sparrow's design eliminates the need for a tool and makes disassembly when dirty much easier. I've still never seen a .22 silencer that was as easy to disassemble as a Sparrow.
