Picked this up today after the CA ten day wait, now looking forward to a range trip. Came with two magazines, holster and extra backstrap.

I love mine in .40 S&W.

Mine didn't come with the extra goodies though. Just the gun and one mag in the Sig case.

I really don't think you can beat them for the money. I got mine when they were $399 new. I think you'd be hard pressed to find one for that now.

Lube the barrel where it locks into the slide and the hood. It will probably wear the black off anyway. Don't sweat it. They all get worn on the barrels, it's a sign that they are being put to good use. Also make sure you depress the recoil spring before you try to take it off. There is a little detent where it catches and locks into the barrel. Push the pin on the right side as you release the slide to get it out. It does not come out in the full rear position, just a little forward of fully locked back. DA is long heavy but smooth and SA is nothing short of phenomenal.

A really fun gun to shoot and very accurate.

No frills, just like a Timex watch, "keeps on tickin"

You're going to like it. Letting people borrow mine has led to two more sale's for Sig. They are really an nice mid-sized pistol.

Lots of good news here, I did a little research and saw nothing but good reviews.
Anybody recommend a OWB holster for them?

Can't help you with the holster, but I add to the chorus saying the Sig Pro is just a terrific pistol. It's my favorite double stack SIG apart from the X-Five, and a fraction of the price.

Topgun has them for 400 with night sights, holster, 2 mags, ss slide, 9mm...

Honestly, I think they are overpriced. They were selling for 350 less than 6 months ago. I hope they go back done. Will buy one then.

The prices are all over the board because the packages differ greatly. Last summer you could get 3 free mags from Sig. There is a store here in CA that has them for $379 but it has 3 dot non-night sights and only 1 mag. There are other packages locally that cost $100 more but have 2 mags and night sights. There are also SP2022's with "contrast sights" which is a vertical bar on the back sight and a dot on the front.

Allegedly the bore axis is higher, but I feel it has less "flip" than the M&P40 FS. It may be from the heavier weight, 1/3" shorter barrel or better distribution of weight, but it was a better shooter "out of the box" without any mods.

If that were local I'd be all over it & I'm not a fan for two tone!
Of course it can't be bought here 15 round magazines sign....

Mushdog, leather..
I have two leather holsters for my SigPro:
An Andrews MacDaniel II (Which is IWB) and an Alessi CQC-S.

Both are great holsters, from good makers. The CQC sometimes is a little hard on the draw because it's still pretty tight. I haven't used it much because I mostly carry my DW. I had the MacDaniel II first and used it almost exclusively when I was carrying the SigPro. If would buy his Saddle style OWB in a heartbeat if I wanted an OWB for the Sig.

Holster showed up today, not bad but very tight, so I'm doing the wax paper over night break in, Use two sheets of wax paper wrap the gun wax side out, put the wax paper wrapped gun into the holster and let sit over night. Let you know tomorrow and see how it worked.

I checked the holster this morning and the wax paper worked, the fit is perfect who would have figured!

Why does the Sig P-220 cost at least twice of the price of this gun?
Short answer? The P220 is a completely different gun. It's aluminium frame is more expensive to make, and the SigPro's R&D cost was mostly subsidized by government contracts.

But I suspect the forging and machining vs. molding of the frames is the biggest factor in the cost differential between SigPro's and P series pistols.

Since this is a California gun, Does that mean if you drop the magazine and have one in the chamber that will disable the gun?

No it would fire no disconnect or LCI.

I HAD heard all California guns on pistols are coming in like that if they want to continue selling there guns in California must have that magazine safety so gun will not fire with one in the chamber rendering it useless.
