I can/will do that. I've only shot it a few times, then cleaned and back in the safe. My knowing it hasn't been shot much kind of has me not wanting to shoot it much more..... but then why have a revolver if you're not gonna shoot it right? Will put your note in a separate file for reference.
 
Congrats on a great revolver at a great price. I have the long barrel 14-3 and it's a treat to shoot. Great accuracy and the trigger is just about perfect in single or double action.

I think the -3 era was a pretty good one for S&W. The postwar surge in revolvers had waned and they still had a highly skilled workforce employed. It seems like they took a little extra time with the fit and finish of these -3 revolvers. The bluing always looks deep with a good polish underneath.
