    Left-liberal...can shoot, too

You're not a supporter of gun rights if you support the left. You might like to shoot, you might think you support the RKBA, but if you vote for a party who in power will most assuredly vote to remove or severely restrict guns in this country, you are the enemy of my basic human rights...

Coroner rules Murray death a suicide

I think Ray Charles can see that's what they're doing. BTW, what killed this idiot isn't relevant. It's what stopped him from continuing his murderous rampage. I think the security guards bullets did that, his ending himself was a result of that, I think.

    M&P-15 needs break-in period?

Doesn't sound like the OP's problem is resolved, at least by the posts so far. It could be a gas port issue, but that's best left to Smith on a new gun. If it's not ammo, a carrier key or gas ring issue, the tube or port could be the culprit. I'd check the obvious stuff, ammo first, bolt &...

    M&P-15 needs break-in period?

If it's short stroking, make sure you're using good ammo, and double check that the carrier key is tightened down, and that it's staked down properly...that can be a problem. If that's not it, by all means send it back. Smith has GREAT CS and will take care of it. With good ammo, an AR should...

    Beretta RX4 status

They do produce the R1 action (the action this gun is based off of) in some hefty cartridges, but I doubt one will ever make its way to this concept. Beretta doesn't seem interested in making this gun successful here.

Eotech, best solution in that price range.

    AR vs. Masada? (read, please)

I wouldn't trade an AR for one if I only had 1 gun to trade. It looks like an interesting rifle and I'd love to get my hands on one, but my AR is a proven commodity, and one that I shoot extremely well. I have a hard time finding fault with any of mine.

    New To The AR "scene"...

Rather than replace your barrel, pay the $200 tax stamp and have the 5.5" FH taken off and thread that baby at 11.5". SBR's are handy, and 11.5 is still a good weapon for CQB.

    .223 rumor

WRONG. The WOT has very much affected supply, LE agencies now tasked with Homeland Security are chewing through the training ammo, as is the military. Federal/ATK is struggling to keep up with war time demands, and there are precious few factories making .223. The cost of raw materials is...

    So...9mm Carbines anyone? (Pics Welcome)

Here's my Storm... a wonderful carbine, I highly recommend it having owned many 9mm carbines.

    Seriously...how innaccurate are AKs?

Three things about AK accuracy (as the owner of many many variants over the years). 1. They are not universally "anything". I have had examples that shoot 1.5" groups with good ammo, and some that couldn't shoot 12" with ANY ammo. That kind of inconsistency isn't common with most western...

    School's recommended response to shooter...

Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. ;) Was this, or was this not a country founded on civil disobedience of unreasonable laws? Nuff said.

How many own more than 1 gun in the same caliber?

I don't know a single gun owner, personally, that DOESN'T own more of one gun in the same caliber.

    Rifle as Home Defense?

Ballistically, pistols are terrible replacements for a rifle. An AR holds more ammo, is more lethal, is more accurate, is more adaptable, can be used as a club if all else fails, etc. BTW, navigating through your house is a terrible idea, unless you have no other option. Take a carbine...

    Is 5.56mm effective in combat?

A better question would be to ask all the NVA, Iraqi insurgents, and Taliban now pushing daisies how effective the 5.56 was in killing them.

    Easiest to clean/maintain 5.56 ( .223) semi-auto rifle?

AR180 is the easiest to clean .223 there is, IMHO....but I still prefer the AR15 for a whole myriad of reasons. Easy to maintain, doesn't need to be either.

Possible to build an AR for $500?

If you buy used, you can do it easily....just takes patience. I put an M16A1 clone together for $385 buying used, and my SBR only cost $450 before the tax stamp.
