Hey all,
I have a friend who is asking me about a Bianchi 9r holster for his Model 60 5 shot revolver. I poked around a bit on a bunch of the bigger webstores as well as on bianchi's site but I believe that this may be an item that is no longer made. If thats the case, where could I source...
Hey all, I'm looking at getting a scope for my AR15. I want it to have Mil-dots so that I can learn to range estimate. But most of the mildot scopes I'm finding are adjustable power. Would having the power adjustable throw off the mildots because of the zoom? I want this scope for hunting as...
...unfortunately. And the .45 cal version sees even less of this market, however with their re-importation by Magnum research this might change *fingers crossed*
You might want to try Hakan Pek, he is well known for his custom work, and does plenty of CZ pattern guns. Perhaps if enough people...
Hey everyone, I'm currently writing up a paper discussing the in's and out's of the "one gun per month" form of legislation. I know that South Carolina was the first to implement this sort of legislation in 1975, followed by VA in 1993. However, I can't find anything that really says why they...
I should have mentioned in my first post, she was not a complete stranger to firearms in general, she had used shotguns several times in the past. She had never fired a handgun, but understood the concept of using the front sight to aim.
^ I wish I had a .22 to loan her, Or a revolver. if I did I certainly would have started her on that, as well as everyone else.
Unfortunately I don't own one. As for the empty chambers, or using snap caps, I didn't have any at the time, so I improvised. I would either not load the magazine and...
...the gun for her, but not actually loading any ammo at all, so it was an empty chamber, so when she pulled the trigger all she would get is a *click* and would notice herself flinching.
Besides these sorts of things, I felt somewhat helpless, all I could tell her was "don't flinch."...
Right then back to the pics!
I thought this would be an interesting comparison; The grips on the PCR are from the CZ-USA website, the grips on the 1911 are from our friend Hakan Pek and are made from Turkish Walnut.
To my admittedly untrained eyes, they seem pretty comparable, of...
Got to play around with one of my Christmas presents a little early....
Some nice new half checker wood grips. They feel great, they're thinner, but still have a bit of palm swell so they're still comfy. Sorry for the cellphone pic, they have to go back in their box now until Christmas day :(
I agree with you, but you tell me. I do recall that the pin that holds the extractor in is spring steel and not a roll pin, is that possible, or does it make sense rather? This gun is in many ways like the Tanfoglio witness series with a different shape really.
Here is a picture of said pin...
This is where my frustrations seem to set in. I have tried both grease and various oils, and I have tried a variety of ammo including hollow point ammo (winchester seemed to feed best, only one jam :uhoh: ) There doesn't seem to be much difference or a preference on ammo the gun...
Hey guys,
A little while back I asked a question about why people install skeleton/delta hammers or anything aftermarket what have you...and the general consensus was pretty much because "it looks sooo cool!"
But, is it possible to fix a reliability issue? Now, I don't mean something like...
^ I do not believe that the witness nor the frame safety variant of the Jericho function as a decocker. I have heard many good things about the tanfoglio witness series of pistols. They are easy to work on, lots of parts available, and are reliable. The only thing that irks me about them, is...
^ Oh I should have mentioned, there isn't much in the way of aftermarket parts for the Jericho/Baby Eagle. Even less so for the .45 model. However this may change with the new importation of them by Magnum Research again. You can still get magazines for them fairly easy, either through finding...
^ Its proper name is the Jericho as others have mentioned.
In .45ACP, it is a very controllable firearm. I would put its recoil and muzzle flip on par with a government sized 1911. This is probably owed to that heavy full length dust cover.
My first handgun was actually a Jericho in .45...
This might not really be "on topic" but how hard is it to come across an original design P99? With the ski hump in the trigger guard and the fine serrations.
^ That sounds more like a part that, when taking the 1911 apart, can get a good launch across the room.
Something you can get that helps with taking apart a 1911 with a full length guide rod is a bushing tool. Or you can just replace the whole guide rod with a standard-length, G.I. guide rod...
