I'm cool with collecting and collectors, but that ain't my bag. I'm shooting it if I own it. When I was a child, I had a cousin with at least 20 NIB S&W and Colt revolvers in a gun safe. Even at that young age I couldn't wrap my brain around collecting just for the sake of having a NIB example...
I've owned both as well. For me, the XDs (mine is in .45) is the one I kept. Nothing wrong with the Shield, I just shoot the SA bettter. All that said, Shields are crazy priced right now. It's kinda difficult to pass up a deal like that.
If you like the P07, buy it. CZ makes a great pistol. I've owned a P07 and carried it often. It's reasonably lightweight, has a decent trigger, is tough, and never malfunctioned. What's not to like? The only reason I still don't own mine is I needed a quick $500 and sold it. I'd readily buy another.
I've been intrigued by the SR Series of pistols. They appear to be very ergonomic and sturdy. I just cannot get past the enormous rollmarks!
I may buy one anyway. They are Rugers after all. They gotta be stout.
I'm guessing no. Too, I cannot see wearing them down. I have a set on a CZ and doubt they're going to show much if any wear in my lifetime. It's tough stuff.
Thanks. I'm happy with my rattlecan restoration. I have some work to do yet. I need to make sure it functions properly with newer magazines. I did the mod to convert to "B" sized mags.
So...does anyone have some real world experience with either of these two current production carbines?
I like reading anecdotes as much as the next guy but...
I'm in the sell it if it's not being used camp. It isn't difficult for me to imagine what I could buy with the $$ I'd get for that Python.
Of course I'd be shooting that Python, not husbanding it.
